What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end design process for partner experiences, including dashboards, workflows, and reporting tools that support healthcare organizations in managing their interactions with Zocdoc.
• Develop rapid prototypes to explore new scheduling experiences, partnership concepts, and workflows, enabling quick validation and learning for partners and internal teams.
• Create polished, compelling design narratives that align with partner branding and business objectives, supporting strategic discussions and product roadmaps.
• Use design as a tool to help partners visualize the future of their relationship with Zocdoc, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
• Design visually engaging reports, storytelling visuals, and data visualizations that simplify complex information, making it accessible and actionable for partners.
• Contribute to the development of new partner-facing features linked to emerging initiatives, including exploratory concepts, value communication, and feature prototypes.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business development, to ensure designs are feasible, impactful, and aligned with business goals.
• Facilitate communication and understanding across teams through prototypes, design documentation, and presentations.
• Mentor and guide fellow designers to elevate the overall quality of design work within the team, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design, especially in healthcare and SaaS environments, to bring innovative ideas into the team's workflow.
• Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate designs, and iterate based on feedback.
• Support the scaling of design systems and standards to ensure consistency across partner-facing products and experiences.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading end-to-end product design for complex B2B environments or consultative client engagements, ideally within healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise software.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, business leaders, and technical teams, to drive strategic design conversations.
• Strong proficiency in visual, interaction, and systems design, with the ability to navigate between detailed execution and high-level conceptual thinking.
• Demonstrated success in creating prototypes that clarify product visions, influence strategic roadmaps, and facilitate stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience working in ambiguous environments, synthesizing insights from multiple workstreams, and translating them into clear, impactful designs.
• Ability to mentor and inspire other designers, fostering a collaborative and high-quality design culture.
• Interest in AI-assisted workflows and a willingness to engage with code-enabled design tools to improve efficiency and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• A portfolio demonstrating a range of design work, including dashboards, data visualizations, and storytelling visuals.

• Experience working within healthcare technology, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques to communicate complex information effectively.
• Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, accessibility standards, and best practices in product design.

• Understanding of healthcare workflows, regulations, or compliance standards such as HIPAA or ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Axure, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and iterative design processes.
• Ability to create data visualizations and reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with front-end development concepts or working closely with engineering teams is a plus but not required.

• Zocdoc offers a flexible hybrid work environment based in Soho, New York City.
• The salary range for this role is between $160,000 and $210,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
