Senior Product Manager
Job description
About the role
Zartis is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join a project within the fitness industry that sits at the intersection of SaaS and operational excellence. In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy and measurable outcomes for a platform that serves gym owners, studio operators, and franchise networks. You will translate complex business needs into sequenced roadmaps while balancing near-term delivery with long-term vision. The position requires daily collaboration with a distributed team, using customer obsession to drive prioritization in ambiguous environments. You will be instrumental in turning evolving market demands into high-quality product experiences that deliver real business impact.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Define and own the product strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for your assigned fitness industry product area.
- Conduct daily conversations with customers, including gym owners, studio operators, and front-desk staff, to deeply understand their operational problems.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into well-scoped product work that aligns with the broader company vision.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data, and QA teams to ship high-quality product experiences in short, iterative cycles.
- Use both quantitative and qualitative evidence to define success metrics, evaluate shipped work, and drive continuous improvement.
- Build robust business cases for new capabilities, incorporating pricing considerations, go-to-market fit, and potential commercial impact.
- Analyze the competitive landscape and evolving market needs to identify opportunities for the product to lead, follow, or differentiate.
- Scope solutions to their smallest coherent state, ship early, gather real-world feedback, and iterate with urgency.
- Align stakeholders across the business on roadmap priorities, delivery milestones, and critical product decisions through clear communication.
- Support product marketing efforts in developing positioning and messaging that resonates deeply with gym operators.
- Maintain a healthy, well-groomed backlog and manage trade-offs between velocity, quality, and scope in collaboration with engineering leads.
- Ensure the product development process remains customer-centric by consistently validating assumptions with user research.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to uncover hidden requirements and surface potential risks before they impact delivery.
- Champion data-informed decision making to validate hypotheses and refine the product experience over time.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of product management experience, ideally rooted in B2B SaaS environments.
- Demonstrate a track record of owning and shipping complex product areas end-to-end with clear accountability.
- Show demonstrable customer obsession, defaulting to direct user engagement rather than anecdotal assumptions.
- Possess a strong analytical mindset, comfort with querying data, and the ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Exhibit the ability to translate a high-level vision into a grounded, sequenced roadmap with explicit success criteria.
- Work fluidly between discovery and delivery modes, shifting between strategic thinking and hands-on backlog management.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, producing crisp product briefs and running insightful reviews.
- Influence stakeholders effectively without relying on formal authority across engineering, design, and business functions.
- Thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments alongside cross-functional teams that are distributed across time zones.
- Hold a degree from an accredited university or college, or bring equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Maintain a strong sense of ownership for product outcomes, including metrics, adoption, and user satisfaction.
- Adhere to strict prioritization practices that ensure the most valuable work is delivered with appropriate quality.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industry, or prior experience selling to or building for SMB and enterprise operators.
- Exposure to platform or multi-tenant SaaS products where configuration, access control, and white-labelling are core concerns.
- Hands-on experience with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Pendo, and a habit of defining and tracking outcome metrics.
- A working understanding of agile ceremonies and how to keep a team focused and unblocked across a complex backlog.
- Strong leadership presence capable of rallying a team around a shared vision and sustaining momentum through uncertainty.
