Yext is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our GTM Systems team in Hyderabad. In this position, you will manage the full development lifecycle for internal applications that provide critical support to Sales, Marketing, Services, Finance, and Engineering organizations. The role requires a disciplined engineer who integrates AI tools directly into their daily coding and testing workflow to ensure the delivery of robust and intelligent solutions. You will act as a key technical contributor and leader, translating complex business requirements into high-quality, scalable platform implementations. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, where you will diagnose intricate issues and architect effective resolutions within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will leverage modern development practices and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and innovation across the GTM stack. Key facts

What you'll do

• Resolve complex Salesforce incidents by conducting deep root cause analysis, authoring detailed documentation, and implementing sustainable technical fixes.
• Build and deploy a wide range of enhancements utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration while rigorously maintaining high standards of test coverage.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions to automate testing procedures and manage deployments across diverse Salesforce environments.
• Actively contribute to sprint planning sessions, technical design discussions, and pull request reviews to ensure architectural integrity and code quality.
• Perform comprehensive QA activities to validate release packages, identify regressions, and guarantee production stability and performance.
• Mentor fellow team members on best practices for coding standards, Salesforce platform governance, and efficient maintenance strategies.
• Update and configure systems leveraging the latest Salesforce releases and cutting-edge AI tools such as Einstein and Agentforce to enhance functionality.
• Analyze business needs and lead the technical requirements gathering process to deliver complete end-to-end solutions that align with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate effectively within multi-site, multicultural teams, demonstrating strong communication and adaptability in a distributed work environment.
• Serve as a technical expert for the Salesforce platform, providing guidance on architecture, security, and performance optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Possess 7-8 years of cumulative software development experience, demonstrating a consistent track record of delivering complex projects.
• Bring a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically with Apex, Salesforce APIs, configuration methodologies, and custom development practices.
• Show deep expertise across the Salesforce Cloud portfolio, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Community Cloud implementations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in modern front-end development using Lightning Web Components, business process automation with Flows, and declarative configuration techniques.
• Maintain a strong technical foundation in core web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services.
• Exhibit experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and managing environment lifecycles effectively.
• Have hands-on familiarity with deployment methodologies and tools, including Salesforce DX, Copado, or Gearset, to streamline release management.
• Prove the ability to lead technical requirements gathering sessions and guide the delivery of robust, end-to-end solutions from conception to deployment.
• Have direct experience working within multi-site, multicultural teams, navigating diverse time zones and communication frameworks successfully.
• Hold active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II certifications as evidence of technical mastery and commitment to the platform.
• Hold a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates a strong foundational knowledge.

Nice to have

• Bring experience with Salesforce CPQ and quote-to-cash processes gained from working in a SaaS environment.
• Show familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular to enhance the user interface layer.
• Have a background working with Core Java and open-source frameworks to integrate external systems effectively.
