Practical notes
Remote work is the listed location for this role, requiring reliable connectivity and a professional workspace. Typical interview steps include a role play, a discovery call simulation, and a presentation to evaluate real-world capabilities. Candidates may be asked to pitch a product to a panel or handle a tough objection to assess composure and strategic thinking. Behavioral questions focus on past quota attainment, deal history, and specific examples of overcoming challenges. Energy and preparation are critical, as interviewers often simulate the job in the interview itself, so be ready to run a short discovery call or demo. Practicing your own sales pitch out loud is highly recommended to refine delivery and confidence.

Questions to ask
Worth asking in any interview: how the team measures success, who the role works with daily, what the onboarding looks like, and what the company is trying to achieve this year. Asking what past hires did well is a strong final question that reveals cultural priorities and performance expectations. Keep the list short and pick the questions that matter most to you to demonstrate focus and strategic thinking.
Career growth
Sales careers can evolve from SDR or associate roles into senior Account Executive positions, then into management and eventually director-level responsibilities overseeing larger portfolios and teams. Some sellers transition into partnerships, specialized account management, or revenue operations to leverage their deep understanding of the sales cycle. Compensation typically mixes a stable base with commission tied to quantifiable results and pipeline creation. High performers in sales typically move into larger enterprise accounts, team leadership, or sales operations where they can influence strategy at a higher level. Quota history, documented success, and strong references carry the most weight in promotion and long-term career advancement within the organization.
