This role is hybrid. Candidates are expected to be in the office at least one day per week, with additional on‑site presence on an as needed basis.

You will primarily provide project management and engineering support on municipal wastewater projects, however experience with drinking water, stormwater, and industrial water applications is valuable. This position offers the opportunity to direct and collaborate with a team of junior and mid-level staff while providing the ability to consistently work with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing wastewater infrastructure and systems and experienced in engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs. Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems is preferred. You will lead the delivery of multiple projects, must be familiar with local and federal regulations, and be able to support marketing and proposal efforts.

What you'll do

• Provide project management and professional engineering support for municipal wastewater infrastructure projects across the South region.
• Evaluate and plan collection system infrastructure, including pumping system hydraulics, rehabilitation strategies, and master planning initiatives.
• Lead the design and construction oversight of wastewater treatment processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, CAD, operations, and SCADA teams to integrate multidisciplinary solutions into cohesive project deliverables.
• Develop and manage biosolids management strategies and explore renewable energy opportunities within wastewater infrastructure frameworks.
• Perform detailed industrial wastewater treatment system assessments and design interventions that meet environmental and operational requirements.
• Engage directly with operators, superintendents, and public officials to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and maintain transparent communication.
• Support the preparation of marketing materials, proposals, and technical narratives to pursue new business opportunities in the municipal sector.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality metrics to ensure successful delivery from preliminary design through final start-up.
• Champion continuous improvement by participating in internal learning programs and implementing best practices across project teams.
• Maintain current knowledge of local and federal regulations affecting wastewater infrastructure and advocate for compliance across all project phases.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing wastewater infrastructure and systems.
• Possess proven ability to manage project teams and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level staff members.
• Showcase consistent collaboration with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization.
• Exhibit familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems.
• Demonstrate leadership in directing the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Show strong familiarity with local and federal regulations governing wastewater infrastructure and treatment processes.
• Prove ability to engage effectively with client stakeholders, including operators, superintendents, and public officials.
• Display capability to support marketing and proposal efforts through technical insight and client-focused communication.
