Position Overview

Woodard & Curran seeks an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technical Consultant. This role serves the Northeast regional team and addresses client needs across the country. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor. They help clients manage regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, and improve environmental and workplace safety performance. The position blends technical expertise, project management, client relationship management, and business development. It delivers successful EHS solutions across diverse markets.

The selected candidate will collaborate with National Technical Leaders and Client Managers. They will support the national EHS Practice alongside a diverse group of engineers and scientists. The consultant must manage multiple projects simultaneously. They will coordinate diverse stakeholders and solve complex problems. Clear communication of technical information to regulatory agencies and business leaders is essential. The primary goal is helping organizations operate safely, sustainably, and in compliance with regulations. This is achieved while meeting operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant owns complex EHS projects from initial scoping through final documentation and client adoption. Solving intricate compliance and safety challenges guides daily decisions for industrial, commercial, and institutional accounts. The role requires disciplined coordination among teams. Clear dialogue with regulators and executives is mandatory.

Specific duties include establishing project scopes and deliverables. Methods must align with client expectations and regulatory standards. Designing data collection and assessment procedures is necessary. These procedures evaluate environmental performance and workplace safety conditions thoroughly. Candidate Profile

This experience must involve handling complex projects. Demonstrated skill managing several projects at once is necessary. The consultant satisfies demanding client and regulatory timelines. Proficiency using Microsoft Office and project management platforms is required. These tools organize work and monitor status. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. They convey technical details to agencies and leadership.

Candidates with experience serving industrial, commercial, municipal, and institutional sectors in the Northeast region are preferred. Core tools include Microsoft Office and project management software.

Logistics and Compensation

The position is located in the Northeast Region. Remote or hybrid work options are considered. Approximately 50% travel is anticipated. This travel supports client engagement, site visits, and team collaboration.
