What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement within the organization.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance training is effectively delivered and understood by all employees.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors during compliance examinations and inquiries.
- Investigate compliance breaches or concerns, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key compliance metrics and areas of concern.
- Assist in the development and execution of compliance risk assessments, ensuring that all potential risks are adequately identified and mitigated.
- Support the onboarding process for new clients and partners, ensuring compliance with due diligence requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including training sessions, audits, and investigations.
- Foster a culture of ethical behavior and compliance throughout the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of compliance issues.
- Participate in industry forums and networking events to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance frameworks, including MiFID II, AIFMD, and AML legislation.
- Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools and software is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or similar are highly desirable.
Nice to have
- Experience in a compliance role within a multinational organization.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations, including GDPR.
- Previous experience in conducting compliance training sessions.
- Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
