What you'll do
- Collaborate with senior compliance professionals to develop and implement compliance frameworks tailored to client needs.
- Conduct thorough compliance assessments to identify potential risks and gaps in clients' existing policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports, ensuring that all findings are documented accurately and presented clearly.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Support the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for clients on compliance-related topics.
- Engage in client meetings to discuss compliance strategies and provide ongoing support during the implementation phase.
- Monitor compliance-related projects to ensure they are executed on time and within budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Help maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and client interactions for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic approach to compliance across various business units.
- Participate in industry conferences and networking events to enhance professional knowledge and represent Bamboohr.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes and tools within the organization.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients by conducting initial compliance reviews and assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related area, preferably within a financial services context.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to the financial services industry in Hong Kong and internationally.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex compliance issues and propose effective solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation purposes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with compliance software and tools to streamline compliance processes.
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with data protection laws and their implications for compliance.
- Previous experience in client-facing roles, enhancing client relationships and service delivery.
