What you'll do
- Lead and manage the Regulatory Reporting COE team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and implement regulatory reporting strategies that align with evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on reporting processes, making necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of regulatory requirements and reporting best practices.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement in regulatory reporting.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed about developments in the regulatory landscape.
- Utilize advanced data analytics tools to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, ensuring adherence to deadlines and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the regulatory reporting framework.
- Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting issues, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovative thinking and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services, including but not limited to MiFID II, AIFMD, and UCITS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in managing teams and driving performance through effective leadership and mentorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with regulatory reporting software and tools, such as Axiom, Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Previous experience in a consulting role within a financial services environment.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Practical notes
- This position is based in Cashel, Tipperary, and may require occasional travel for client meetings or industry conferences.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time, with a standard workweek of 40 hours.
