About the role
You will oversee the Integrated Systems department and manage all operational activities to ensure alignment with company objectives. You are responsible for creating, maintaining, and developing the client base to meet mutually established business goals. This role requires you to report to senior management while generating new business, quoting contract opportunities, and negotiating contracts. You will make key decisions regarding hiring, disciplinary action, and termination of staff to maintain team performance. You must ensure the occurrence of and strict adherence to all safety and training programs across all projects. Integrated Systems responsibilities may include fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, IP cameras, networking infrastructure, telecom, BDA, DAS, audio/video, nurse call, area of refuge, intercom, Crestron, Extron, Honeywell, Notifier, Gamewell FCI, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, Siemens, AutoCall/JCI, or RATH. You will exercise leadership to drive department success and uphold the company's standards of quality and service.

What you'll do
Coordinate with clients to resolve disagreements regarding scope, on-site conditions, and dissatisfaction in a tactful and patient manner.
Contact clients as necessary to discuss and resolve delinquent payment issues and maintain positive accounts.
Visit project sites as required to assess work progress and verify fulfillment of contractual commitments.
Meet with the current client base to sustain business relationships and identify opportunities for new business growth.
Pursue leads, cultivate new contacts, execute specific marketing strategies, and expand related service offerings.
Prepare detailed proposals and estimates for both new and established customers to support sales efforts.
Plan and monitor job costs to ensure profitability of contracted alarm work and meet department goals.
Accurately interpret instructions and directives assigned by supervisors to ensure proper execution.
Complete all assigned work within established timelines as directed by leadership.
Ensure work orders are prepared and ready for invoicing within three days of completion.
Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
Exercise a high level of autonomy in organizing, planning, and prioritizing your own workload and responsibilities.
Utilize exceptional concentration, attention to detail, and multi-tasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
Operate personal computers, phones, email systems, copiers, and other office equipment efficiently.
Perform detailed data entry accurately within work order processing systems to maintain records.
Oversee, plan, schedule, and prioritize the work of subordinates to ensure department efficiency.
Monitor the activity, productivity, and accuracy of employees to maintain performance standards.
Schedule and direct daily job assignments for staff as required to meet operational demands.
Train, coach, and assist in the professional development of team members to enhance skills and performance.
Assist in delivering in-service training for staff and support training and testing for certifications.
Review and reinforce standard operating procedures to mitigate job-site liability and property damage risks.
Evaluate and discuss employee progress, including strengths and weaknesses, to support professional growth and goal achievement.
Requirements
Seven to ten years of experience installing commercial construction integrated systems is mandatory for this position.
State or local licensure must be obtained where required by jurisdiction.
You must have experience hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating field employees in a supervisory capacity.
Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA, regulatory standards, and state/local codes is essential for compliance.
You must be skilled in management, inventory, budgeting, scheduling, and contract/services negotiation.
Consistent monitoring and enforcement of safety policies and procedures is required.
Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
You must be able to pass various background checks where they are mandated by the company.
Reliable transportation is required, along with a valid State Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for company vehicle use.
Nice to have
Associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field is desirable for this role.
NICET Level II or higher certification is preferred.
Current certifications in Gamewell FCI & Fike Systems and IFC, BICSI, ADA, or AHJ are recommended.
Advanced knowledge of electrical wiring, NEC, and BOCA codes is preferred.
