What you'll do
Verification of fire sprinkler system installation and service occurs per NFPA-25 and other applicable codes to ensure system reliability.
Maintenance of Risk Management and Safety procedures on job sites follows VSC policies to preserve personnel safety and protect company equipment. Documentation of each inspection informs clients and stakeholders about site status.
Requirements
Two to three years of experience in inspections of fire sprinklers and integrated systems is mandatory for this position. State and local licensure must remain current to authorize inspections in the field.
Following written and verbal instructions ensures accuracy and safety during field activities. Detail oriented communication skills enable clear reporting to clients and project partners. Eagerness for professional development keeps practice aligned with evolving standards.
Reliable transportation and a valid State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record allow use of company vehicle for travel. Passing background checks is mandatory to maintain employment eligibility.
Texas candidates must hold RME-I and BPAT credentials to qualify for inspections in state jurisdictions. North Carolina candidates must hold an NC Fire Sprinkler Inspection Technician License to perform authorized work.
Nice to have
Experience in the construction or electrical industry may broaden understanding of system integration. Familiarity with industrial and commercial installation methods supports thorough assessments.

Inspection activities rely on code documents, testing equipment, and company provided PPE for safe execution. Digital devices such as company cell phones or tablets capture findings and share results from the field.
