Verkada is on the lookout for a dynamic technical leader to spearhead our Solutions Engineering team located at our EMEA headquarters in London. This role involves not only managing and nurturing high-performing teams but also driving the technical strategy that underpins our innovative physical security solutions. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing collaboration across various departments to ensure alignment with our business objectives.

What you'll do

• Lead the recruitment, mentoring, and management of diverse and high-performing Select and Territory Solutions Engineering teams.
• Serve as a key technical escalation point, providing guidance and coaching to resolve intricate architectural issues.
• Design and implement new operational programs and internal processes aimed at boosting team efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate closely with sales, product development, support, marketing, and enablement teams to ensure that technical initiatives align seamlessly with overarching business goals.
• Promote professional growth and skill enhancement for all direct reports, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
• Engage in travel up to 25% of the time as necessary to support team objectives and client engagements.
• Analyze team performance metrics and provide actionable insights to drive improvements and achieve strategic targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that the Solutions Engineering team is well-integrated into the company's broader strategy.
• Oversee the development of technical documentation and resources that support the sales process and enhance customer understanding of our products.
• Actively participate in industry events and conferences to represent Verkada and promote our solutions.
• Ensure that the Solutions Engineering team is equipped with the latest tools and technologies to effectively support our clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within Solutions Engineering.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and foundational principles of network security.
• Proven track record of managing high-performing sales engineering teams in collaboration with product and sales departments.
• Experience in initiating and executing impactful projects that drive business success.
• Must be available to work full-time from the London office.

• Experience with cloud-based security solutions and technologies.
• Familiarity with physical security systems and their integration with IT infrastructure.
