About the role

Verkada is on the lookout for a Solutions Engineering Director to spearhead our Associate Solutions Engineering program. This position is pivotal in nurturing early-career technical professionals, providing them with the necessary guidance and training to excel in the fields of physical security and AI-driven technology. You will be responsible for designing the training curriculum, mentoring participants, and ensuring they achieve a high level of expertise in our innovative product offerings.

What you'll do

• Oversee the daily functions of the Associate Solutions Engineering program, ensuring that all participants meet their learning objectives in areas such as networking, cloud architecture, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to refresh and enhance training materials in alignment with the evolving product landscape of the company.
• Offer career guidance and mentorship to associate engineers, fostering their professional development and helping them navigate their career paths.
• Design and implement hands-on technical projects that utilize the full range of Verkada's product suite, allowing participants to gain practical experience.
• Assess and enhance the communication and presentation abilities of program participants to prepare them for client-facing roles.
• Handle logistical aspects of the program, including scheduling cohorts, arranging travel, and monitoring progress toward certification goals.
• Create opportunities for associates to connect with senior mentors within the organization, facilitating professional networking and growth.
• Analyze program metrics and provide insights to identify areas for operational enhancement and overall program effectiveness.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-sales or customer-facing technical positions, demonstrating a strong understanding of client needs.
• In-depth knowledge of computer networking, cloud architecture, and security infrastructure is essential for this role.
• Exceptional organizational abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for inspiring and developing early-career talent within the team.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where accountability is key.

Practical notes

• Candidates must have independent authorization to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• The compensation package for this role ranges from $160,000 to $225,000 USD annually, based on performance and experience.
