About the role

You own the end-to-end operations strategy for Verkada's Security Trailers and Edge Products business, defining how we deliver, install, and service physical AI solutions in the most demanding environments. You build a nationwide fulfillment and service network that ensures white-glove customer experiences from unboxing to ongoing reliability. You partner closely with product and field teams to align hardware, software, and networking capabilities with real-world deployment constraints. You scale channel operations by creating repeatable playbooks for third-party partners while maintaining strict ownership of logistics, economics, and reliability. You turn complex field deployments into a core competitive advantage through data-driven decisions and hands-on execution. You lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, and partners to ensure every trailer deployment reinforces Verkada's brand of trusted, privacy-sensitive security. You are expected to sweat the details while driving strategic clarity from market sizing to ROI modeling.

What you'll do

Define and own the end-to-end operations strategy for Security Trailers and Edge Products, covering logistics, installation, servicing, and reliability.

Build a nationwide white-glove delivery and installation capability through a channel of qualified trailer partners, ensuring consistent quality and speed.

Own trailer logistics, including routing, scheduling, and inventory positioning, to optimize service economics and on-time performance.

Partner with video security and edge product PMs to align product roadmaps with trailer and edge use cases, ensuring power, video, and networking meet field demands.

Define and drive a go-to-market plan for Security Trailers that leverages a partner-led operations model while delivering a seamless customer experience.

Scale the Verkada Qualified Trailer Partner program by establishing processes, playbooks, and performance metrics for channel success.

Lead field reliability and service operations, reducing downtime and improving mean-time-to-repair through data-driven process improvements.

Develop market-sizing models, ROI analyses, and business cases to prioritize investments and guide strategic decisions.

Collaborate closely with integrations, networking, and power systems teams to validate edge device performance in real-world trailer environments.

Act as the operational voice of the customer within Verkada, translating field constraints and feedback into product and process improvements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or marketplace operations at high-growth companies.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or similar quantitative field; MBA optional.

Proven history of building world-class systems and processes from scratch, with a structured mindset for ambiguous problems.

Operational excellence and systems-thinking, including the ability to design processes that scale from 10 to 10,000 units without breaking.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for orchestrating manufacturers, channel partners, installers, and Verkada field teams.

Willingness to spend time in the field with installers, integrators, and customers to understand real-world deployment constraints.

Ability to lead across both strategy and execution while maintaining a high bar for detail-oriented decision-making.

Entrepreneurial mindset, treating the trailer business as your own company with ownership of outcomes and tradeoffs.

Commitment to working onsite at Verkada's headquarters in San Mateo, CA, as required for in-person collaboration and cultural cohesion.

Nice to have

Experience in physical AI, video security, or IoT edge deployments in distributed or hard-to-wire environments.

Background in channel or partner-led go-to-market motions at scale.

Track record of improving logistics, service economics, or field reliability in hardware-heavy businesses.

Experience with trailer, mobile, or modular deployment models.
