Uniswap Labs invites applications for a Senior Brand Designer position. This role operates at the intersection of brand strategy and financial technology. You will contribute to defining how complex financial systems are presented to a global audience. The position requires a designer capable of shaping narratives for digital financial interactions. You will define the visual and verbal language that makes intricate on-chain mechanisms understandable and trustworthy. This role involves crafting the aesthetic and tonal framework for a protocol trusted by millions globally. You will ensure that every customer touchpoint reinforces the brand's promise of decentralization and security. The position demands a strategic thinker who can translate abstract protocol mechanics into coherent brand experiences.

The successful candidate will join a small, focused design organization. This team delivers creative strategies that strengthen brand equity and business performance. The environment operates at the pace of a dynamic industry sector. The brand is in constant evolution to remain trusted and influential. Work takes place from our headquarters in SoHo, New York City. The position is designated as NYC-based and requires physical presence in the office. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and marketers to align design with technical feasibility.
What you'll do
You will operate as a strategic design lead within a cross-functional environment. Collaboration will generate ideas, content, and effective solutions for financial interfaces. Project ownership will be assigned for medium to large-scale initiatives. These include social campaigns, brand systems, microsites, physical installations, and executive presentations. You will translate business objectives into visual narratives that resonate with diverse user segments.
Defining creative strategy is a core function of this position. You will set direction for your own work and for other designers. The goal is to produce high-quality outputs that simplify complex financial concepts. A cohesive visual language aligned with the Uniswap brand must be developed and maintained. You will establish design standards that ensure consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints.
The design team will be guided toward an AI-native operational model. Integration of GenAI tools is expected to enhance both efficiency and creativity. Design reviews will be conducted to offer and receive constructive feedback. Design decisions must balance brand integrity with measurable business outcomes. Solving ambiguous challenges requires creative and methodical problem-solving skills. You will leverage data and user feedback to iterate and validate design hypotheses.
You will act as a design mentor and subject matter expert throughout the organization. Responsibility for the recruitment and onboarding of contractors and agencies will fall within this role. A pulse on design, crypto, and marketing trends is necessary for informed contributions. You will mentor junior designers on best practices for branding in the fintech sector.
You will define the visual treatment for landing pages, dashboards, and in-app experiences. This role requires the creation of adaptable assets that function across various screen sizes and resolutions. You will partner with the growth team to design experiments aimed on improving user acquisition and retention. Your work will directly influence how users perceive and interact with the protocol. You will ensure that the brand feels modern, credible, and approachable to new users.
Requirements
A minimum of five years of professional experience is required. The experience must span static, dynamic, and interactive media formats. Familiarity with cryptocurrency environments is essential for this role. Daily use of decentralized applications is a prerequisite for success. You must possess a deep understanding of how design impacts user trust in financial contexts.
Collaboration is central to the position. A low ego and an open-minded approach are necessary for effective teamwork. Attention to detail must be sharp and unwavering. A strong understanding of typography and layout principles is mandatory. You should be comfortable articulating your design decisions to non-design stakeholders. The ability to accept critique and iterate quickly is essential for the role.
Technical fluency in specific tools is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Suite. The ability to context-switch between multiple projects is essential. Adaptability to new information, opinions, and direction is required. Issues must be identified, solved, and communicated persuasively to stakeholders. You will manage complex design systems and ensure their ongoing maintenance.
You must be able to work within the constraints of a fast-moving startup while maintaining a high standard of quality. This includes meeting deadlines without compromising the integrity of the visual design. You will be responsible for maintaining brand assets and ensuring their correct application. The role requires a proactive attitude toward identifying potential design risks before they escalate.
Nice to Haves
Prior experience designing marketing materials for crypto tools is valued. Experience with animation or motion design is a preferred qualification.
Compensation and Benefits
The minimum full-time salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $190,000. This disclosure complies with New York City Pay Transparency Law. Compensation components may include tokens and additional benefits, depending on position type. Full-time employees receive company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for themselves and dependents.
Wellness offerings include a partnership with Equinox Fitness Clubs. A 401(k) plan with a four percent employer contribution is provided. An annual education stipend of $1,500 is available. Unlimited paid time off is encouraged and supported. Up to sixteen weeks of paid parental leave is offered. Additional benefits include a home office setup stipend for remote staff and daily lunches at the New York headquarters. All benefits are subject to taxes and eligibility requirements.
