Truveta is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare through data, aiming to enhance the speed of research, empower clinicians, and support families in making informed health decisions. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Intelligence Platform and Applications (IPA) team in Hyderabad, India, to help develop advanced AI systems that improve healthcare outcomes. You will own the design and implementation of adaptive AI systems that learn and improve from diverse healthcare data while working closely with cross-functional partners. This role requires you to create scalable AI solutions that directly enhance decision-making processes within the healthcare sector and drive meaningful impact. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex problems and translate business requirements into robust technical implementations. The position demands a proactive approach to innovation where you contribute to the full lifecycle of AI system development. You will be responsible for ensuring that the solutions you build are reliable, efficient, and aligned with clinical realities. Your work will play a critical role in shaping how data and intelligence are used to support better health outcomes.

What you'll do

• Design and implement adaptive AI systems that learn and improve from diverse healthcare data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable AI solutions that enhance decision-making in healthcare.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with healthcare standards.
• Work with vector databases and embedding technologies to enable efficient data retrieval and semantic understanding.
• Integrate systems such as FAISS, Pinecone, or Azure AI Search to support advanced search and recommendation capabilities.
• Fine-tune large language models using techniques such as LoRA, PEFT, or TRL to improve performance on specific healthcare tasks.
• Build agentic AI workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI to enable complex reasoning and task execution.
• Ensure that AI systems adhere to interoperability protocols such as MCP and A2A for seamless integration.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow modern development practices including code reviews and version control with Git.
• Contribute to the evaluation of models using appropriate metrics and techniques for validation and optimization.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to iterate on model performance and user feedback.
• Maintain high standards of software quality while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Support the deployment of Python-based web services, particularly using frameworks like FastAPI.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to ensure reliable and portable deployments.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
• Bring over 5 years of experience in developing and deploying scalable machine learning systems in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate strong programming skills in Python with a proven track record of building production-grade applications.
• Show experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP for deploying and managing scalable services.
• Have familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD, code reviews, and version control systems like Git.
• Possess experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI along with knowledge of interoperability protocols like MCP and A2A.
• Be proficient in working with vector databases and embedding technologies, integrating systems like FAISS, Pinecone, or Azure AI Search.
• Show demonstrated experience in fine-tuning large language models using techniques such as LoRA, PEFT, or TRL.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving across teams.
• Be able to work legally in India and contribute to a team that values shared governance and clear objectives.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python-based web services, particularly FastAPI.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
