About the role
Truveta is seeking a Senior Product Manager to oversee the Research Operations segment within the Trusted Research Environment, part of the Evidence team. This role focuses on creating a modern research platform that allows researchers to derive high-quality real-world evidence from one of the largest collections of electronic health record data. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the research platform, defining requirements and success metrics that align with both scientific rigor and operational excellence. The hire will act as the central orchestrator for complex workflows, ensuring that the environment remains secure, scalable, and intuitive for diverse research stakeholders. You will drive strategic initiatives that balance the evolving needs of data scientists and clinicians with the non-negotiable standards of governance and regulatory compliance. This position requires a leader who can translate ambiguous problems into structured opportunities for the product and engineering teams. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver transparent, efficient, and reliable platform capabilities that accelerate high-impact real-world evidence generation.

What you'll do
- Define the long-term product vision and operational strategy for the Research Operations portfolio, ensuring alignment with the broader mission of generating real-world evidence.
- Partner with Engineering and Data teams to design and deliver platform features that enhance transparency, auditability, and efficiency within the Trusted Research Environment.
- Lead the simplification of complex researcher workflows, removing friction while maintaining strict operational control and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Security and Governance stakeholders to embed necessary controls and oversight directly into the product workflows.
- Work closely with Customer Success and Client teams to gather insights and translate real-world researcher feedback into actionable product improvements.
- Coordinate with Finance and Infrastructure departments to ensure product decisions support sustainable scaling and cost-effective operations.
- Drive the prioritization of the product roadmap by analyzing demands from researchers and balancing them against enterprise governance needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and senior leadership to ensure that product developments meet strategic objectives.
- Leverage analytical tools and data-driven methods to measure product performance and identify opportunities for iterative enhancements.
- Champion the adoption of AI-driven research capabilities by defining product requirements that maximize the potential of large-scale electronic health record analysis.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in product management or closely related roles within technology or data-intensive environments.
- Demonstrated history of developing and executing product strategies, roadmaps, and feature definitions from concept to launch.
- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, with a strong background working in both technology and health sector contexts.
- Proven ability to navigate and implement governance, compliance, and operational oversight requirements specific to research environments.
- Strong aptitude for analyzing intricate operational challenges and devising clear, effective solutions that satisfy multiple stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable working with sensitive data and understand the implications of privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks in product decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary for articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated skill in managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic organizational environment.

- Prior experience in health data management or the administration of electronic health record systems.

- This position is eligible for remote work under a hybrid model, but the selected candidate is required to attend in-person meetings at least once annually.
