Live Link
Truveta is the world's first health provider-led data platform with a vision of Saving Lives with Data. Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta's ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a special combination of health, software and big data experience who share our company values.
This role is based in the Greater Seattle area and follows a hybrid work model.
Who We Need
Truveta is building a diverse and inclusive team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. We are seeking enthusiastic new graduates who are problem-solvers, collaborative teammates, and eager to make a difference in healthcare. If you're excited about purposeful work, joining a mission-driven team, and launching your career in a supportive environment, Truveta could be the perfect place to start.
This Opportunity
At Truveta, you'll work on impactful projects in a dynamic environment, solving computing challenges that can directly improve lives. This role provides opportunities for professional growth while contributing to healthcare technology at scale.
Patients, doctors, and medical researchers deserve to benefit from the large-scale technological innovations and digital intelligence that have transformed other industries. At Truveta, we are building technology that enables healthcare organizations to securely derive insights from data at scale and improve health outcomes.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the backend services that power Truveta's Live Link and Entitlements capabilities. In this role, you will build APIs, distributed services, databases, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure that form the backend foundation for customer-facing scenarios. You will work closely with Product, Architecture, Solutions, and engineering teams across Truveta to translate customer and product needs into scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions. This role spans application, data, and infrastructure layers and provides the opportunity to own meaningful backend capabilities from design through production operations.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the full lifecycle for health data features, guiding intake, building services, reviewing code, shipping releases, and partnering with product teams. You will architect scalable backend components for Live Link and Entitlements while mentoring peers on design standards. You will design cloud infrastructure pipelines that move health data securely across regions under strict compliance rules.
You will partner with analytics teams to align data models with research workflows and improve query performance. You will review implementation details for distributed services, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability standards. You will translate product requirements into API contracts and service interfaces that scale for enterprise customers. You will operate production services by responding to incidents, driving root cause analysis, and improving runbooks. You will collaborate with solutions architects to design data features that meet customer demands and regulatory expectations. You will refactor legacy code paths to reduce technical debt and support faster experimentation with new health datasets.
Requirements
You must have hands-on experience building backend services with high-throughput data pipelines. You must understand distributed systems patterns such as idempotency, retries, and eventual consistency in cloud environments. You must be proficient with cloud provider services, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices. You must demonstrate strong debugging skills for performance bottlenecks in data movement and transformation layers. You must have at least three years of professional software engineering experience in production settings.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a base salary of $171,240.00 over two years. The engagement follows a hybrid schedule with in-office days.
