What you'll do

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports on quality control findings and present them to senior management, highlighting trends and areas of concern.
• Train and mentor team members on quality control practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
• Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality control and construction processes.
• Participate in project meetings to provide insights on quality-related issues and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Work closely with safety personnel to ensure that quality control measures align with safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist in the development of project quality plans and ensure they are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and tools, such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
