What you'll do

• Analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in project performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project dashboards and reports that provide insights into key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Assist in the preparation of project forecasts and financial analyses to support informed decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all project controls processes.
• Conduct regular audits of project data to ensure accuracy and integrity, addressing discrepancies as needed.
• Facilitate training sessions for project teams on the use of project control tools and methodologies.
• Support the implementation of new project management software and tools, ensuring integration with existing systems.
• Participate in project meetings to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for improving project execution.
• Assist in the development of project control procedures and best practices to enhance overall efficiency.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management to communicate project status and performance metrics.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in project controls to continuously improve processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls, data analysis, or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards is a plus.

Nice to have

• Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or Project Controls (AACE, PMI-SP) is highly desirable.
• Experience with cost estimating and financial management in construction projects.
• Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with Lean Construction principles and practices.
• Previous experience in a role that involved direct interaction with clients and stakeholders.

Skills & tools

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
