What you'll do
- Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop and implement project plans that align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with building codes and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractor performance, including selection, negotiation, and oversight, to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or unforeseen challenges.
- Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners, to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
- Implement best practices in construction management, including risk management strategies and quality control measures, to enhance project outcomes.
- Mentor and train junior staff and field personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and inspections, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, including progress updates, financial performance, and any potential risks, for presentation to senior management and clients.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process, maintaining a focus on achieving project goals.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the project.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on commercial or residential projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials, as well as local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong understanding of scheduling and budgeting principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
