What you'll do

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures specific to electrical systems, ensuring that all work meets the required specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and electrical engineers to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, documenting any discrepancies and ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Provide training and guidance to field personnel on quality control standards and best practices in electrical work.
• Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss quality control strategies and provide updates on inspection activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical quality control to ensure compliance and best practices are maintained.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance training materials and programs for new hires and existing staff.

• Support the continuous improvement of quality control processes by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical quality control or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC and OSHA requirements.
• Proven experience in conducting inspections and audits of electrical installations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using quality control software and tools for inspection and reporting purposes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Nice to have

• Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance (e.g., CQI, CQA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Experience working with electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a quality control team.
