What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of compensation data to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness across various job roles within the organization.
- Design and implement compensation structures that align with the company's strategic goals and market trends, ensuring they are compliant with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop and refine job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the responsibilities and requirements of each position.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on compensation trends, pay equity, and market analysis to senior leadership, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
- Manage the annual salary review process, including the development of guidelines and communication strategies to ensure transparency and fairness.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and recommend enhancements based on industry best practices and employee feedback.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation-related inquiries from employees and management, providing guidance on policies and practices.
- Participate in salary surveys and benchmarking studies to maintain competitive compensation practices and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Support the development of training materials and workshops to educate managers and HR staff on compensation policies and practices.
- Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations that may impact compensation practices, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk for the organization.
- Collaborate with the finance department to analyze the financial impact of compensation decisions and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Assist in the development and implementation of incentive programs that drive performance and align employee goals with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in compensation software and tools, as well as advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive compensation data.
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar.
- Experience with HRIS systems and data management tools.
- Familiarity with job evaluation methodologies and compensation benchmarking practices.
- Previous experience in the construction or real estate industry is a plus.
