About the role
This role defines and scales Taskrabbit's brand and content engine across global channels. This position operates on a hybrid schedule with two days of in-office collaboration per week and is based in either New York or San Francisco. The hire will architect the strategic narrative that connects the platform to real people doing real jobs in their communities. They will own the end-to-end content lifecycle from initial concept through production and performance optimization. This position translates complex marketplace dynamics into simple, compelling stories that drive demand and trust. The role requires equal parts creative vision and operational discipline to build systems that last. Success will be measured by how consistently the team can generate high-impact content that moves business metrics.

What you'll do
Develop and execute a content strategy that supports Taskrabbit's brand narrative across all major digital and physical touchpoints.
Own the creation of high-impact content systems that enable scalable storytelling without sacrificing quality or brand coherence.
Translate abstract brand positioning into concrete editorial guidelines and message frameworks that diverse teams can follow.
Partner with growth and CRM to design content that drives acquisition, activation, and long-term retention of Taskrabbit users.
Lead the production of video, social, and long-form content that demonstrates the value of hiring Taskers for various home and life needs.
Champion data-informed content decisions by analyzing performance across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other key platforms.
Collaborate with creative teams to produce visual and written assets that maintain consistency while allowing for local adaptation.
Work with SEO and product teams to ensure content aligns with how people search for help and inspiration online.
Build and maintain a robust messaging architecture that allows non-marketing teams to communicate with brand integrity.
Generate original campaign ideas, shepherd them through review, and iterate based on leadership feedback and real-time constraints.
Present early concepts to senior stakeholders and refine them quickly based on live discussion and strategic input.
Establish clear processes and documentation for content planning, approval, and optimization.
Identify gaps in the current content landscape and propose new formats or partnerships to fill them.
Mentor junior team members on content standards and best practices to elevate the entire organization's output.
Represent Taskrabbit in external forums and discussions to ensure the brand voice is consistent and credible.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in content strategy, brand marketing, or editorial roles.
Strong strategic thinking to translate brand positioning into actionable content systems.
Experience managing cross-channel content across social, video, CRM, PR, or editorial.
Proven ability to build and scale content programs beyond executing campaigns.
Deep understanding of content performance across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Experience working cross-functionally with creative, growth, and product teams.
Strong storytelling instincts with a balance of creative taste and analytical rigor.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment and building new systems from the ground up.
Experience building messaging architecture and message maps that multiple teams can execute consistently.
A track record of originating campaign ideas, with examples of concepts you conceived and got greenlit.
Quick thinking to present rough concepts to leadership and iterate in real time.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to relocate or commute to the designated work location as required by the role.
Willingness to adhere to company policies and support cross-functional priorities.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Experience in marketplace, consumer tech, or home/lifestyle brands.
Familiarity with SEO/AEO and content for search and AI-driven discovery.

Compensation is provided as a base pay range of $142,000 to $189,000, determined by factors including experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
