About the role
You will manage the sales lifecycle for mid-market and enterprise clients operating within the Greater China region. This position requires you to identify new business opportunities and manage complex technical sales cycles with a focus on helping companies expand their global reach using our financial infrastructure. You own the end-to-end management of specific client portfolios, ensuring revenue growth and strategic alignment with Stripe's objectives. The role demands consistent collaboration with internal stakeholders to refine sales strategies and messaging for the Chinese market. You will act as a primary point of contact for high-level executive sponsors, representing Stripe's brand and value proposition. Success in this position hinges on your ability to translate intricate product capabilities into clear business outcomes for prospective and current clients. You are expected to drive initiatives that strengthen partner ecosystems and contribute to the evolution of our product roadmap based on real-world market input.

What you'll do
- Manage a specific list of accounts to secure and grow revenue within the Greater China market through strategic oversight.
- Create and execute outbound strategies to generate new business leads and expand the top of the sales funnel.
- Oversee the entire sales process, mapping touchpoints from initial contact to final contract signature with precision.
- Build and maintain relationships with C-level stakeholders at prospective and current client organizations to foster trust and alignment.
- Conduct technical product workshops and financial analysis sessions with client engineering, product, and finance departments to clarify value.
- Collaborate on internal projects aimed at optimizing sales workflows, documentation, and core messaging for competitive advantage.
- Partner with our internal Product and Engineering teams to influence product strategy by articulating market feedback and use cases.
- Coordinate with the channel team to develop and execute partner-led sales strategies that unlock new distribution avenues for key accounts.
- Perform detailed competitive analysis to identify positioning gaps and strengths when engaging with enterprise decision-makers.
- Utilize data insights to refine pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and prioritization of high-impact activities.
- Design and deliver tailored demonstrations of the Stripe API that address specific operational and financial requirements.
- Navigate multi-threaded buying committees by aligning stakeholders and managing consensus-building efforts effectively.
- Draft and negotiate key commercial terms, working closely with legal and finance to ensure contract accuracy and compliance.
- Proactively identify expansion opportunities within existing client bases to drive net revenue retention and growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software sales targeting large accounts in the Greater China market, ideally within the technology sector.
- Proven history of high performance in sales roles, with a track record of exceeding quotas and achieving targets.
- Professional fluency in both Mandarin and English, including the ability to communicate complex concepts in both languages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the cross-border business environment in China, including regulatory nuances and market dynamics.
- Ability to learn the Stripe API and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders, including engineers and product managers.
- Capability to analyze complex business requirements and design tailored solutions that address client pain points.
- Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to perform basic financial modeling and interpret data to guide decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment where priorities evolve rapidly and adaptability is essential.
- Willingness to travel regionally within Singapore and the Greater China area as required for client meetings and strategic initiatives.
