This position represents a critical link between national objectives and on-the-ground implementation in Appleton and Oshkosh. The hire will design and execute outreach campaigns that transform abstract policy concepts into tangible local actions. You will foster an environment where residents feel empowered to participate in the democratic process without partisan pressure. A key focus will be building trust and demonstrating the practical benefits of engagement to everyday citizens. You will serve as the primary point of contact for community members seeking information and involvement.

What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of neighborhood-specific concerns to identify high-impact opportunities for civic participation and advocacy.
- Architect detailed workshop agendas that strategically align volunteers with consistent messaging and well-orchestrated local events across target towns.
- Coordinate immersive training sessions that equip community members with the skills necessary for effective, respectful policy discussions and outreach.
- Orchestrate multi-channel communication sequences that seamlessly integrate online digital outreach with structured in-person activities and town hall interactions.
- Analyze detailed participation metrics and engagement data to iteratively refine outreach strategies and optimize future campaign steps and resource allocation.
- Develop accessible resource materials that demystify complex policy topics for varied audiences, ensuring clarity and comprehension across demographic segments.
- Oversee the documentation of volunteer actions, outcomes, and qualitative feedback to support rigorous internal review and strategic reporting requirements.
- Maintain highly adaptable schedules and workflows that respond dynamically to seasonal community rhythms, event availability, and emerging local priorities.
- Implement best practices for community organizing that adhere to the strict standards and mission of the Stand Together philanthropic community and its partners.
- Foster collaborative relationships with local stakeholders to ensure all activities reflect the unique needs and cultural context of Wisconsin residents.
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust tactics in real-time to maximize reach and resident engagement in targeted areas.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on grassroots methodologies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the overall efficacy of regional campaigns.
Requirements
- Must possess eligibility to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship or external work authorization support.
- Must commit to a consistent thirty-five hour work week throughout the specified contract period from January 2025 through June 2025.
- Must bring a minimum of three years of direct, hands-on experience in civic engagement, community organizing, or closely related professional environments.
- Must demonstrate proven proficiency with a wide array of online platforms, standard email tools, and diverse digital communication channels.
- Must have a verifiable history of working within roles that require strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accuracy.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with residents, partners, and internal teams.
- Must show a strong commitment to the core mission of empowering citizens and advancing practical policy solutions.
