With $65 million in institutional backing from investors such as Peak XV Partners, Z47, RTP Global, Fundamentum, and Lightspeed, Stable Money recently secured a $25 million Pre-Series C round to fuel its next phase of expansion. The mission is to build the operating system for India's savings, making fixed-income products transparent, accessible, and trustworthy.
The platform enables users to book fixed deposits without needing a savings account, offers instant withdrawal options, provides short-term instruments including 7-day FDs, and delivers a curated digital experience focused on speed and clarity. Stable Money is deepening direct partnerships with banks and NBFCs, establishing on-ground operations in key cities, and expanding into adjacent savings products, all while upholding a trust-first philosophy since inception.
Founders
Saurabh Jain, an IIT Bombay alumnus, previously served as CEO of Navi Mutual Fund and led Swiggy's expansion into 500 plus cities. Harish Reddy, also an IIT Bombay graduate, brings deep wealth product strategy expertise, having led product strategy and technology implementation at Estee Advisors. Together, they combine extensive wealth-tech experience to build a scalable, value-accretive business.
Role Purpose
This position supports the legal function by managing commercial contracting, legal documentation, legal research, and select product advisory work under the guidance of senior legal counsel. The role delivers day-to-day legal execution support while developing expertise in financial services and regulatory legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Stable Money seeks a legal professional to own the full lifecycle of commercial law. The role involves shaping intake conditions, building contract frameworks, reviewing risk, and shipping agreements in partnership with banks. Decisions directly impact service delivery to over 30 lakh users and the protection of deposit flow.
Responsibilities include drafting precise vendor and service contracts that define commercial terms and safeguard company interests. The role requires designing intake checklists to capture requirements before agreements enter review queues. Building clause libraries and templates that accelerate negotiation while controlling legal exposure is essential. Reviewing partnership and technology agreements to ensure regulatory alignment and enforceability is a core function. Shipping documentation workflows that allow product teams to launch features without delay is a priority. The legal counsel will partner with banks and NBFCs to align contract language with commercial intent and compliance. Conducting legal research on financial services regulations ensures agreements remain future-proof. Maintaining secure repositories and governance records for every policy and board material is required. Tracking regulatory shifts and preparing clear summaries guides business strategy. Supporting board and committee materials ensures submissions meet accuracy and timing standards.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an LL.B. from a recognised university and possess 0-2 years of post-qualification experience. Freshers with strong internships in law firms, financial institutions, or fintech companies will be considered. Demonstrated strength in drafting ability, attention to detail, and good legal research capabilities is mandatory. The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines while tracking renewals, terminations, and contractual commitments is essential.

What you'll do

- Maintain accurate governance records for policies, board materials, and contractual files.
- Track regulatory updates and translate them into actionable guidance for the business.
- Assist in preparing materials for board reviews and committee submissions.
- Partner with product and operations teams to remove legal friction from shipping features.
- Ensure all documentation reflects compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for legal inquiries impacting deposit flow and user trust.
- Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining precision in contractual language.
- Support the implementation of secure document repositories and record-keeping practices.
- Provide clear explanations of legal terms to non-legal stakeholders during alignment sessions.
- Monitor renewals, terminations, and ongoing commitments across the contract portfolio.
