EIR
Job description
About the role
The Entrepreneur in Residence at Stable Money is accountable for embedding directly within the category team to uncover and solve the most critical unsolved problems. You will own the entire lifecycle of high-impact initiatives, driving them from initial discovery through to on-ground execution and iteration. This role demands a bias for action where you build 0-to-1 solutions and fix broken user journeys with minimal guidance. You will act as a problem owner, not a task executor, defining the problem statement and structuring the path to resolution. The position requires comfort with ambiguity as you operate in a fast-moving environment with limited resources. Success is measured by your ability to synthesize findings and drive outcomes that move the category needle. You will be the hands-on builder who gets on the ground to understand users, operations, and data at a fundamental level.
Key facts
What you'll do
Investigate and quantify the highest-leverage unsolved problems within the fixed-income category alongside category leads.
Own specific problem areas end-to-end, taking responsibility for research, hypothesis formation, execution, and iterative improvement.
Establish new 0-to-1 processes, workflows, and user journeys where current frameworks do not exist.
Conduct on-ground research by interviewing users, analyzing support tickets, and collaborating directly with operations teams.
Execute scrappy experiments and ship rapid fixes to validate hypotheses without waiting for ideal conditions or complete data.
Fluidly plug gaps across product, operations, and growth functions as dictated by the evolving category needs.
Regularly communicate synthesized findings and progress updates to the category team and key stakeholders.
Identify and prioritize opportunities that deliver maximum impact with constrained resources.
Challenge existing assumptions by breaking down complex problems into first-principles and actionable plans.
Adapt to shifting priorities by wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of whatever the category demands most urgently.
Maintain a relentless focus on outcomes by measuring the impact of interventions and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Operate with speed and decisiveness, making informed decisions even when information is incomplete or imperfect.
Serve as the operational backbone for the category team, handling unglamorous but essential work without hesitation.
Ensure that solutions are not only effective but also scalable and sustainable within the existing technological landscape.
Requirements
Possess 3 to 4 years of professional experience in high-intensity settings such as early-stage startups, strategy consulting, investment banking, or generalist roles within high-growth companies.
Demonstrate a clear bias for action with a track record of initiating projects, fixing broken systems, or building solutions from scratch in personal or professional contexts.
Think in first-principles, capable of rapidly moving from an ambiguous brief to a structured problem definition and a clear execution plan.
Thrive in environments with minimal structure and no predefined playbook, requiring no constant direction from a manager.
Be willing to perform any necessary unglamorous work, including user interviews, manual operational tasks, and deep-dive research, without any sense of status compromise.
Communicate effectively and persuasively to achieve alignment across cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority or hierarchical power.
Show genuine curiosity and intellectual interest in fintech, savings behavior, and the specific challenges faced by Indian retail investors.
Have the resilience and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where change is constant and uncertainty is the norm.
Commit to a hands-on approach where qualitative insights and quantitative data equally inform decision-making processes.
Embrace a builder mindset that prioritizes tangible results and learning through doing rather than theoretical planning.
Be prepared to work primarily from the Bengaluru location, understanding the demands of on-ground execution and stakeholder interaction.
Maintain integrity and a strong work ethic, ensuring that all activities are conducted with transparency and accountability to the team and stakeholders.
Be comfortable with limited resources and constraints, using creativity to overcome obstacles and deliver results efficiently.
Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining clarity of thought and execution quality.
Nice to have
An MBA from a tier 1 institution combined with prior product experience provides a significant advantage in understanding user needs and market dynamics.
Experience in fixed-income, savings, or fintech domains offers deeper context for navigating the specific nuances of the Indian retail investment landscape.
A background in data analysis or behavioral economics can enhance your ability to derive insights from user interactions and operational metrics.
Familiarity with regulatory considerations in Indian financial products adds an additional layer of value to the problem-solving process.
Skills in rapid prototyping or no-code tools can accelerate the testing of hypotheses and validation of potential solutions.
Practical notes
This engagement is full-time and permanent, requiring consistent presence and dedication from Monday through Friday.
Travel within the Bengaluru metropolitan area is expected for on-ground research, stakeholder meetings, and operational visits.
No specific visa requirements are mentioned, implying local or standard employment eligibility applies.
There are no stated application deadlines, but early submission of interest is encouraged given the high-intensity nature of the role.
