About the role
This position manages compliance for the Company's Stock Broking, Depository Participant and Online Bond Platform and Mutual Fund distribution businesses, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. The hire will maintain an effective compliance framework and act as a key interface with regulators, exchanges and depositories on behalf of the organization. They will oversee regulatory compliance oversight, inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, governance, regulatory reporting and implementation of regulatory change across the Company's regulated businesses. This role will develop, maintain and periodically enhance compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks while advising business, operations and technology teams on regulatory compliance requirements.

What you'll do
- Oversee regulatory compliance oversight, inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, governance, regulatory reporting and implementation of regulatory change across the Company's regulated businesses.
- Ensure compliance with applicable SEBI regulations, stock exchange requirements, depository requirements, AMFI and Mutual Fund Distribution requirements, and internal governance frameworks.
- Act as a key interface with regulators, exchanges, depositories and auditors, supporting regulatory inspections, supervisory interactions and information requests.
- Monitor regulatory developments and drive implementation of new regulatory requirements across the organization's operations and technology infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain and periodically enhance compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks to align with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Advise business, operations and technology teams on regulatory compliance requirements and ensure alignment with governance standards.
- Coordinate information gathering, regulatory responses and inspection management during SEBI, exchange, depository and internal audits or inspections.
- Track and drive closure of inspection observations, audit findings and corrective action plans to ensure timely remediation.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews and supervisory examinations through structured preparation and documentation.
- Oversee all periodic and event-based regulatory filings and reporting obligations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Review compliance certifications, regulatory submissions and management reports for completeness and adherence to standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory filings and disclosures as mandated by applicable regulators.
- Maintain regulatory registers, compliance records and evidence repositories in an organized and accessible manner.
- Lead compliance monitoring programmes and surveillance activities to detect and address potential breaches.
- Review testing outcomes and remediation plans, identifying compliance gaps, control weaknesses and regulatory risks.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures across business functions to strengthen the compliance framework.
Requirements
- Possess 6-7 years of post-qualification experience in Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, Audit, Operations or Regulatory functions within financial services.
- Bring a minimum of 2-3 years of direct experience in Stock Broking and/or Depository Participant roles.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of SEBI regulations, stock exchange norms, depository requirements, AMFI guidelines and Mutual Fund Distribution requirements.
- Show ability to manage regulatory compliance oversight, inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, governance and regulatory reporting.
- Exhibit strong understanding of regulatory filings, compliance certifications, management reports and regulatory registers.
- Display experience in coordinating with regulators, exchanges, depositories and internal audit teams during inspections and audits.
- Prove capability to track and drive closure of inspection observations, audit findings and corrective action plans.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining readiness for regulatory reviews, supervisory examinations and compliance testing.
