You will orchestrate intake, designing controls that capture transactions correctly before data enters ledgers. Building reports and entries, you will apply US GAAP so balance sheet figures remain precise and traceable. Reviewing outputs, you will partner with FP&A and Tax to verify accuracy before information reaches stakeholders. Shipping insights on time, you will translate close results into narratives that explain performance clearly. Partnering with external auditors, you will prepare documentation and schedules that support examination goals. Championing automation, you will identify repetitive work and propose solutions that reduce manual effort. Guiding teammates, you will review offshore deliverables, suggest improvements, and uphold methodology standards. Strengthening controls, you will test processes, highlight gaps, and recommend fixes that reduce future risk. Driving SOX readiness, you will coordinate testing evidence, resolve issues, and maintain audit trails. Enabling strategy, you will align reporting outputs with business decisions, helping leaders move faster.
Your experience should include
You must hold 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a dynamic corporate environment. You must understand US GAAP, handling month-end close, journal entries, and balance checks with confidence. You must manage Excel, creating pivot tables and analyzing large datasets within ERP platforms like Workday. You must tackle complex problems, juggling multiple priorities while consistently meeting firm deadlines.
Your experience should also include
Professional Background: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience within a dynamic corporate environment. Accounting & Financial Reporting Expertise: Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles, with hands-on experience managing month-end close activities, journal entries, balance verifications, and financial statement analysis. Data Analysis & Systems Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large dataset analysis, along with experience working with ERP systems (Workday preferred). Analytical & Organizational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems, analyze financial data, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
What you'll get to do
You will lead financial close and reporting, owning key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This includes preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You will ensure accounting excellence and compliance by maintaining an accurate and reliable balance sheet. You will assist with accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and leases. You will ensure adherence to US GAAP, company policies, SOX requirements, and internal controls. You will drive business partnership and audit support by collaborating with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders. You will validate financial data, support reporting requirements, and assist with internal and external audits through the preparation of schedules and documentation. You will champion process improvement and automation by finding opportunities to streamline accounting operations. You will improve reporting accuracy and implement automation solutions that increase efficiency while maintaining strong financial controls. You will provide leadership and subject matter expertise by acting as a trusted advisor for assigned accounting processes. You will review work done by staff or offshore teams, suggest improvements, and contribute to developing accounting policies, procedures, and standard methodologies.
