About the role
This role is a three month contract positioned in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Orange County, California, operating as a hybrid arrangement. You will own the end to end creative and production strategy for Kajabi's YouTube channel, shaping how the expert economy is perceived by a global audience. You are responsible for translating the mission of creator independence into a clear, bold, and human video narrative that resonates with builders and experts. You will conceive, direct, and shepherd content from initial concept through final publish, ensuring every piece feels unmistakably Kajabi in tone and impact. You will work directly with Snowball as the creative YouTube partner, aligning with a team that has already helped channels reach 27 million subscribers and 110 billion views. This position demands a leader who is comfortable making creative decisions quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality. You will be expected to use data and audience feedback to iterate and refine formats for maximum engagement. Ultimately, you will be the creative driver responsible for making Kajabi's YouTube presence a definitive voice in the creator economy.

What you'll do
- Develop and execute YouTube-first video formats that authentically communicate Kajabi's mission and support the platform's product narrative.
- Translate complex platform features into compelling storylines through detailed episode outlines, interview structures, and production plans.
- Direct on camera hosts, guests, and experts to elicit natural, confident, and engaging performances that reflect the Hero mindset.
- Partner closely with editors to shape story structure, pacing, and the overall creative vision during post-production to ensure narrative cohesion.
- Liaise strategically with marketers, strategists, and cross functional teams to align video objectives with broader channel and business goals.
- Oversee production logistics including managing schedules, coordinating crews, booking vendors, and securing locations for shoots.
- Analyze YouTube performance metrics and audience insights to continuously refine creative formats and improve viewer retention.
- Maintain a disciplined creative bar while optimizing processes for efficiency, organization, and potential scalability across the channel.
- Collaborate with Snowball analytics partners to review performance data and implement optimization tactics for reach and engagement.
- Champion a culture of experimentation by testing new formats, hooks, and storytelling techniques in a fast moving environment.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience producing and directing digital video content focused on YouTube or similar platforms.
- Present a strong portfolio that showcases exceptional storytelling, creative leadership, and a clear evolution of your craft.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage productions from initial concept and development through to final delivery and publish.
- Exhibit outstanding interviewing skills and the talent to direct on camera personalities, making them feel comfortable and authentic on screen.
- Apply strong project management abilities to successfully oversee multiple productions, timelines, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Thrive in a collaborative setting, working effectively with creative, production, marketing, and strategic teams toward shared objectives.
- Provide confident and actionable creative feedback throughout both production and post-production phases of a project.
- Show a genuine passion for how AI can be leveraged to improve workflows, solve problems, and enhance the efficiency of creative teams.

Practical notes
This is a contract based engagement with a duration of 3 months. The position is based in hybrid locations within California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County. Travel may be required between these regions for shoots or stakeholder meetings. The standard work schedule applies, and hours will be determined in collaboration with the Snowball team based on project needs.
