This position is a launchpad for a sales career at Sigma Computing, focusing on intensive training and mentorship. The hire will own the critical front-line function of new business generation by partnering with Account Executives to build a pipeline of high-priority target accounts. They will be responsible for executing outbound prospecting sequences and cold calling to educate and qualify prospects, turning initial interest into sales-ready opportunities. This role requires developing a consultative selling approach to overcome objections and establish trust, ultimately becoming a trusted advisor to prospects within the data analytics space. The position is designed to prepare the individual for future leadership roles in sales through hands-on coaching from seasoned professionals. As a foundational member of the sales team, the BDR will directly contribute to the company's growth by consistently meeting strict monthly quotas.

What you'll do
Partner with Account Executives to identify and prioritize high-value target accounts that align with Ideal Customer Profile criteria.
Prospect and educate these target accounts to uncover needs and create qualified sales opportunities that move through the pipeline efficiently.
Execute cold calling campaigns and run structured outbound prospecting sequences using tools like Outreach to initiate contact and build interest.
Overcome initial objections from prospects by employing consultative selling techniques that focus on data-driven value propositions.
Develop long-term relationships with prospects, acting as a trusted advisor by understanding their business challenges related to data analytics.
Effectively utilize CRM and communication platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn to manage daily workflows and track all interactions.
Consistently meet or exceed the monthly quota of 10 qualified demos to ensure pipeline health and forecast accuracy.
Conduct in-depth research on target industries and organizations to tailor messaging and demonstrate knowledge of specific data challenges.
Collaborate with marketing teams to provide feedback on lead quality and refine messaging based on real-world prospect interactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions within Salesforce to ensure transparency for the entire sales cycle.
Qualify leads rigorously to filter out uninterested parties and focus efforts on accounts with the highest conversion potential.
Present the core value of Sigma's AI analytics platform to non-technical stakeholders using clear and compelling business language.
Adapt sales strategies based on market feedback and competitive landscape analysis to improve outreach effectiveness over time.
Participate in sales meetings and coaching sessions to refine techniques and share successful strategies with the broader team.
Demonstrate a commitment to the company mission by driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new business customers.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
Candidates must exhibit meticulous attention to detail in all communications and documentation.
Effective time management skills are required to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Prospects must have positive and energetic communication skills, including strong telephone presence, active listening, and professional writing abilities.
