About the role
You will own the end to end implementation of Enterprise customers within the US Public Sector, guiding them from initial deployment through full adoption and ongoing value realization. You will translate complex IoT solutions into clear operational outcomes for mission critical industries such as public safety, transportation, and education. This role positions you as the trusted advisor for cities, states, school districts, and universities that rely on Samsara to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You will work across cross functional teams to align product, support, and sales engineering around a unified customer success strategy. The role requires you to manage multiple concurrent implementations while maintaining a high standard of documentation and process. You will be a primary driver of customer retention and expansion through hands on support and strategic guidance. This position is ideal for someone who wants long term ownership of customer relationships from onboarding through renewal.

What you'll do
Coordinate with Sales leadership to scope and qualify Public Sector opportunities before deal closure.
Develop detailed implementation plans that outline timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for each customer deployment.
Configure Samsara products to align with specific public sector workflows including vehicle telematics, video safety, and equipment monitoring.
Conduct virtual and on site training sessions for government stakeholders and end users to ensure platform proficiency.
Perform root cause analysis for operational issues and collaborate with Product and Engineering to escalate and resolve tickets.
Establish performance baselines and key success metrics for each customer program to track adoption and ROI.
Serve as the central point of contact for customer queries during onboarding and provide status updates to executive sponsors.
Build strategic roadmaps that outline future feature utilization, integrations, and advocacy opportunities for each account.
Document standard operating procedures and playbooks to enable consistent delivery across the Public Sector portfolio.
Proactively identify expansion opportunities and coordinate with Sales to develop tailored proposals for additional Samsara solutions.
Engage with Customer Advocacy teams to identify referenceable success stories and case studies within the public sector segment.
Monitor product usage data and provide feedback to Product Management focused on usability and feature improvements for government customers.
Champion customer feedback loops by capturing requirements and pain points during implementation workshops and quarterly reviews.
Maintain compliance and security best practices when handling sensitive government data and operational workflows.
Act as a subject matter expert in the public sector vertical and represent Samsara at industry events and virtual forums.
Requirements

You are at least 18 years of age.
You have the right to permanently work in the United States.
You are not currently employed by a direct competitor of Samsara.
You have prior experience implementing technology solutions in a regulated or public sector environment.
You have at least three years of professional experience in customer facing roles such as consulting, account management, or implementation.
You have demonstrated success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
You are comfortable presenting to both executive leadership and operational teams in a clear and concise manner.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
You are proficient with standard productivity software including collaboration tools and video conferencing platforms.
You have a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace to perform remote work.
You can commit to 10 to 20 percent travel within the United States for customer visits and meetings.
You understand the constraints of working with government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
You are able to dedicate focused time during standard business hours to support customers across US time zones.
