Requirements
Eligibility for this role is strictly defined by the operational needs and safety standards of the Athletics and Recreation department. You must be legally authorized to work in Canada without restriction, as the role involves direct supervision of students and travel. Candidates must be available to commit to evening and weekend schedules throughout the competitive season, as this is non negotiable for program success. A valid Criminal Record Check indicating suitability to work with vulnerable populations is mandatory prior to appointment. You are required to maintain a professional demeanor that represents Sait with integrity, as you are a direct representative of the university community. The position necessitates the ability to lift and move equipment up to 20 kilograms, ensuring safety during setup and breakdown activities. Reliable transportation is essential, as travel to various venues across the city and region is a standard part of the coaching portfolio. Previous coaching or high level athletic experience is expected to ensure a high level of understanding of the sports being supported. You must be able to pass a background screening related to your character and suitability for a role involving student athletes.
