Position Overview
The role of Lead, Campus Centre Opening Initiative is a strategic position central to the successful public launch of the Taylor Family Campus Centre (TFCC) at Sait. This position is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of the campus centre opening, acting as the primary architect of the launch strategy. The incumbent will design the foundational structures, manage intricate logistics, and ensure all activities align with Sait's institutional vision. This is a leadership role that demands ownership of a high-profile initiative with significant institutional visibility. The position reports directly to the Associate Director, Alumni & Stakeholder Relations.
The opening of the TFCC is a landmark event in Sait's institutional history. This role provides the unique opportunity to shape the narrative and define the legacy of this major development. The Lead will work in concert with senior leadership, key institutional partners, and the TFCC Grand Opening Steering Committee to create a cohesive and impactful program. The focus extends beyond a single event to establishing the enduring experience of students, alumni, industry partners, donors, employees, and the wider community within this new space. A key component of this role involves integrating the SAIT111 program, which serves to honour the institution's rich heritage while highlighting its bold future trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead, Campus Centre Opening Initiative will be the central coordinator for all launch-related activities, ensuring a seamless integration of multiple workstreams. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to manage complexity and deliver a memorable, unified experience.
- Program Orchestration: You will own the comprehensive coordination of the TFCC opening program, from initial concept to final execution. This involves designing the structural flow of ceremonial milestones and donor recognition events to ensure they meet institutional standards and honour supporter contributions.
- Stakeholder Management: A core function is to build and manage relationships across a broad network of stakeholders. You will act as the liaison between internal departments, external partners, industry collaborators, and the Steering Committee, forging connections that align institutional goals with community engagement.
- Strategic Planning & Review: You will design and facilitate review checkpoints with key partners to refine messaging, visual identity, and overall program content. This ensures a consistent and compelling narrative is presented to all audiences.
- Logistics & Execution: You will direct the logistics for the TFCC opening day, managing participant flows and ensuring all activities, from student engagement sessions to community events, operate smoothly and create memorable experiences.
- Donor & Alumni Coordination: A critical component involves orchestrating intake processes for donor and alumni information, managing recognition strategies, and hosting dedicated checkpoints to ensure content accuracy and effective donor stewardship.
- Historical Integration: You will coordinate the integration of the SAIT111 program, ensuring historical narrative elements are woven into the opening activities to create a connection between the institution's past and its future.
Qualifications

- A minimum of three years of professional experience managing complex initiatives from conception to completion.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating cross-functional teams against tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in planning and managing donor information, recognition events, and related stewardship activities.
- A strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive institutional data and donor information.
- Prior experience with campus centre projects, large-scale public openings, or similar high-profile institutional events.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of a Steering Committee structure and university/college stakeholder environments.
Position Details
This is a fixed-term leadership role with a scheduled conclusion on December 31, 2027. The position requires a standard weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. The compensation for this role is within the range of $110,000 to $118,000, with placement within this band determined by a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.
