Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead technical discussions and provide strategic guidance to Federal clients, ensuring the successful development of integrated technology solutions that align with pre-sales objectives.
- Work closely with internal teams to analyze, design, and implement tailored technology solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
- Engage in the preparation and delivery of compelling presentations and demonstrations that effectively showcase Rubrik's offerings to potential clients.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and qualify sales opportunities, utilizing your technical expertise to address client requirements.
- Assist in the creation of proposals and RFP responses, ensuring all technical aspects are accurately represented.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position Rubrik's solutions against competitors.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to understand their business challenges and propose appropriate technology solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and training to sales teams, enhancing their understanding of Rubrik's products and services.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to represent Rubrik and promote our solutions to a broader audience.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and tools, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in pre-sales activities.
- Act as a liaison between clients and product development teams, providing valuable feedback to enhance product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all security and privacy regulations related to U.S. Federal Government interests.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in a software or data center environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery solutions, as well as data analytics.
- A proactive and resourceful approach, with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in engaging with C-suite executives to deliver technology solutions that effectively address their business challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess sales opportunities based on technical requirements, competition, and decision-making processes.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage solutions within the SAN market.
- Previous experience in roles that involved building and maintaining relationships with account teams, partners, and customers.
- Experience working with government contracts and understanding the unique challenges faced by Federal clients.

- The salary range for this position varies based on
- For locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington D.C. Metro, New York City, and Seattle, the salary ranges from $136,220 to $175,000 USD.
- For other U.S. locations or remote work, the salary ranges from $129,430 to $175,000 USD.
- The role is also eligible for commissions, equity, and benefits, with the final salary being influenced by factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and educational background.
