What you'll do
Provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team while charting technical narratives for prospects and coordinating with AEs from discovery through implementation. Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik's products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN product space during customer interactions. Architect Rubrik solutions in live demos, POCs, and negotiations to address data resilience, compliance needs, and business requirements. Champion Rubrik's distributed data management against competitors while clarifying integrations for storage and cloud teams. Translate executive requirements into technical proposals that align with decision cycles, investment criteria, and funding considerations. Build partner co-sell plans with channel organizations to expand reach and validate architecture in joint scenarios. Lead discovery calls to qualify technical fit, risk, and decision processes across multi-stakeholder environments. Defend solution designs under executive scrutiny, covering backup, analytics, and disaster recovery tradeoffs. Serve as a trusted technology advisor to customers and act as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications within the assigned market segment. Successfully build relationships with the account team, partners, and customers to support sales team objectives and use corporate resources, abilities, budgets, and personnel as appropriate. Make technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management. Requirements
You must bring five years or more of sales engineering experience within software or data center settings. You must demonstrate a fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, data analytics, and distributed architectures across on-prem and hybrid setups. You must thrive in fast-paced settings, handling multiple demos and calls daily with immediate same-day follow-up. You must operate at CxO levels, blending business acumen with technology options to solve enterprise challenges. You must travel reliably across Illinois and Wisconsin to support customers and partner teams. You must be a self-starter who will exceed sales quotas by driving innovative technical programs, pipeline generation alongside AEs, customer demonstrations, POCs, and overseeing day-to-day account-level activities.
