What you'll do
- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to construct detailed financial models that evaluate the potential outcomes of strategic initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer behavior to shape pricing structures and optimize revenue generation.
- Synthesize complex financial data into comprehensive reports and forward-looking forecasts for executive stakeholders and the board.
- Oversee the monitoring of budget execution, identifying variances, and implementing corrective measures to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Architect the financial planning and analysis processes for new product debuts, major marketing campaigns, and expansion projects.
- Provide scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the financial risks and rewards associated with different go-to-market approaches.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators and dashboards to track the financial health and efficiency of marketing and sales operations.
- Liaise with cross-functional leaders to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and build consensus on financial priorities and resource allocation.
- Ensure that all financial modeling and reporting adheres to the standards of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert on go-to-market financial metrics, educating stakeholders on best practices and financial discipline.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with a demonstrated history of working within a technology or SaaS company.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is a preferred qualification.
- You must possess strong analytical capabilities, including expert-level proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- You are required to have hands-on experience with financial planning and analysis tools, as well as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences with precision.
- You must be highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a demanding environment.
- You must demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail in all financial processes and reporting.
- You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced functions and features to manipulate large datasets and build robust models.
