About the role
Rubrik is seeking a Senior Finance Manager focused on Go-To-Market operations to support the company's commercial strategy and growth initiatives across all markets. This role sits within the finance organization and works closely with the GTM leadership team to drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across all go-to-market functions and business units. The Senior Finance Manager will help translate high-level business objectives into detailed financial models and provide actionable insights that shape critical go-to-market decisions and resource allocation. This position is based in Palo Alto, California, and reports into the broader finance leadership team at Rubrik, collaborating with cross-functional partners throughout the organization.

What you'll do
- Partner with GTM leadership to build and maintain comprehensive financial models for go-to-market planning and budget allocation.
- Analyze go-to-market performance metrics and produce detailed regular reports for senior stakeholders and finance leadership teams.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for all GTM-related functions, initiatives, and investment programs.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand resource needs and financial implications.
- Develop and track key performance indicators that measure the effectiveness and efficiency of go-to-market investments over time.
- Provide detailed ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions around market entry, expansion, and resource deployment.
- Work hand in hand with the FP&A team to ensure accurate revenue recognition and deal-level financial tracking.
- Help design incentive compensation plans and financial models tied directly to go-to-market team performance targets and goals.
- Monitor and report on go-to-market spend against approved budgets, flagging significant variances and recommending corrective actions promptly.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements in financial planning and reporting workflows for the entire GTM organization.
- Assist with quarterly business reviews by preparing financial presentations and supporting materials for GTM leadership discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative field is required for this position.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in finance, with at least three years in a go-to-market or commercial finance capacity.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis for revenue and expense categories across business units.
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams to drive measurable business outcomes and growth.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, and complex formula construction for large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or software company is strongly preferred for this role.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles including revenue recognition, accruals, and expense classification within a corporate finance setting.
Nice to have
- MBA or advanced degree in finance or business administration from a top-tier institution is highly valued.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI for building executive-level dashboards and reports.
- Background in data management, cybersecurity, or enterprise software industries provides a meaningful advantage for this position.
- Familiarity with incentive compensation design and sales operations finance processes is helpful for success in this role.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle for financial planning and reporting purposes.
