About the role
We are seeking a strategic leader to guide our Data Threat Analytics team in defining the future of data security and recovery. This role owns the end-to-end product strategy for innovative solutions that detect and manage sophisticated threats targeting sensitive data across hybrid and multi-cloud landscapes. The successful hire will concentrate efforts on ensuring these solutions not only prevent loss but also guarantee rapid and effective recovery when incidents occur. You will lead a team of talented product managers, instilling a culture of structured thinking, rigorous analysis, and clear communication. The position requires navigating complex enterprise environments to establish clarity in roles, responsibilities, and product roadmaps. Collaboration is central to this position, as you will work closely with engineering, data science, and security professionals to align on shared objectives and deliver measurable value. Your influence will extend beyond the product roadmap as you shape customer adoption and demonstrate the tangible outcomes of our security and recovery initiatives. Ultimately, this leader will be responsible for translating emerging threat landscapes and customer pain points into a compelling, executable product vision that protects and empowers our customers.

What you'll do
Define and articulate a long-term, multi-year vision for data threat analytics that specifically addresses the complexities of hybrid and cloud-native infrastructures.
Lead the design and execution of recovery workflows, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated and validated through concept development, implementation, and broad customer adoption.
Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing cohort of product managers, fostering an environment of structured thinking, clear articulation, and impactful communication.
Champion cross-functional collaboration among product, engineering, data science, and security teams to break down silos and drive unified execution on critical initiatives.
Navigate intricate internal organizational structures to establish clear ownership, define responsibilities, and remove barriers that impede product progress.
Develop and maintain a deep, contextual understanding of the data threat landscape to inform product decisions and ensure relevance in a rapidly evolving market.
Analyze customer feedback and market signals to continuously refine the product roadmap, prioritizing features that deliver the highest security and recovery value.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for data threat analytics, communicating product strategy and rationale to both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
Oversee the lifecycle management of product features, from initial hypothesis and requirements gathering through to successful launch and post-launch optimization.
Establish clear metrics and success indicators to measure product performance, recovery efficacy, and team health, using data to drive iterative improvements.
Cultivate strong relationships with key partners in security, compliance, and sales to ensure product strategies are aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud security to identify opportunities for differentiation and new product capabilities.
Ensure all product initiatives are aligned with Rubrik's overarching business goals, contributing to the company's strategic growth in the data security sector.
Promote a culture of experimentation and learning within the product team, encouraging calculated risks and rapid iteration based on validated insights.
Requirements
Possess 10-15 years of cumulative experience in product management, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to leading and managing other product managers.
Demonstrate a strong and proven background in enterprise product management, with a history of successfully delivering complex solutions.
Bring specific experience in domains such as Cloud Security Postake Management (CSPM), Cloud Detection & Response (CDR), or Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
Showcase in-depth knowledge of major public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as identity services and SaaS-based delivery models.
Have a documented track record of developing and scaling analytics-driven products that serve large customer bases and demanding use cases.
Exhibit strong strategic thinking and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable product strategies.
Display excellent judgment and decision-making skills, particularly when operating with incomplete information or high-stakes scenarios.
Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
Prior familiarity with backup, recovery, and data protection solutions and their associated challenges.
Hands-on experience with data classification, data lineage, and access intelligence capabilities.
Knowledge of prevalent ransomware tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as common cloud vulnerabilities and identity-based attack vectors.
