About the role
This role is designed to support the US accounting operations within Riveron's corporate finance team. The primary focus is on transactional accounting activities, including processing accounts payable, managing banking transactions, and vendor management. The position involves handling day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate recording, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple operational tasks efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial processes, and cross-border accounting activities, all within a dynamic consulting environment. The position is based on-site in Bangalore, India, and requires working hours aligned with US time zones, specifically from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST, to facilitate real-time collaboration with US teams.

What you'll do
- Accurately enter daily accounting transactions into NetSuite, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and provisions, ensuring all data is correctly recorded and compliant with company policies.
- Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable (AP) inboxes, posting vendor invoices received via email or other channels into Oracle NetSuite, and ensuring timely processing.
- Create, update, and maintain vendor profiles within NetSuite, including verifying vendor details, resolving discrepancies, and responding promptly to vendor inquiries related to payments or account status.
- Reconcile bi-weekly contractor invoices, ensuring all invoices are accurately matched with purchase orders and supporting documentation, and prepare weekly payment reports to facilitate smooth disbursement processes.
- Draft and process weekly wire transfers and ACH payments for vendors, contractors, and client refunds through banking portals, ensuring all payments are authorized and executed correctly. Also, handle check requests and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Administer corporate American Express (Amex) credit cards, including applying for new cards, canceling or replacing existing cards, and uploading monthly statements into NetSuite for expense tracking and reconciliation.
- Review employee expense reimbursements submitted through NetSuite, verifying receipts and supporting documents before approving payments, and ensuring compliance with company expense policies.
- Perform daily bank data matching by reconciling bank statements with internal records, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with routine bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances.
- Support the annual preparation of Form 1099 in January, ensuring all eligible vendors are accurately reported, and assist with month-end audit documentation requests, providing necessary reports and supporting data to auditors.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues related to payments, invoicing, and account discrepancies, maintaining professional communication at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial operations and data security.
- Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance operations team to enhance efficiency and accuracy of transactional activities.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, vendor processing, or general finance operations, preferably within a corporate or shared services environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com), with specialization in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including the use of lookup formulas, pivot tables, data matching techniques, and data entry accuracy.
- Hands-on experience working with an enterprise ERP system, with Oracle NetSuite being preferred.
- Good understanding of core accounting concepts such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and expense accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, internal teams, and auditors.
- Ability to manage daily operational tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to work during US hours (4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST) to ensure overlap with US-based teams and facilitate real-time communication.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity when handling sensitive financial data.
- Ability to adapt to process changes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC) or a US-focused corporate environment, which provides familiarity with US accounting standards and practices.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP system, including familiarity with its modules related to Accounts Payable and banking integrations.
- Exposure to international vendor management and cross-border payment processes.
- Knowledge of US tax reporting requirements, such as Form 1099, and familiarity with compliance procedures.
- Experience working with banking portals for executing wire transfers and ACH payments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
