Staff Technical Program Manager
Job description
.
About the role
You will own the end-to-end execution of large cross-functional programs that directly power Ripple's core crypto products for financial institutions, governments, and developers. You will synthesize ambiguous business needs into clear technical strategy and ensure those strategies translate into executable plans for engineering teams. You will act as the central nervous system for complex initiatives, removing cross-team dependencies and elevating risks before they impact customers. You will provide technical leadership that balances long-term system architecture with immediate delivery pressures. You will partner deeply with product and engineering leaders to define priorities that move the business forward. You will ensure that high-velocity development does not compromise quality, reliability, or scalability. You will be the trusted advisor who sees around corners and keeps multiple stakeholders aligned toward shared outcomes. You will champion an environment where teams can experiment, invent, and deliver bold solutions to critical financial infrastructure challenges.
Key facts
What you'll do
Define and drive the strategic priorities for major product initiatives by deeply understanding customer workflows, technical constraints, and market opportunities.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks before they escalate, using data and analytics to uncover trends, forecast risks, and make decisions that protect the customer experience.
Synthesize input from cross-functional stakeholders into coherent program objectives, ensuring clarity of scope, timeline, and success metrics.
Inspire and influence program co-leads, product managers, and engineering partners without direct authority, fostering collaboration across matrixed teams.
Contribute to technical frameworks and architectural guardrails that enable engineering teams to make consistent, scalable decisions.
Streamline Operational Excellence processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting, to improve predictability and efficiency across the organization.
Partner with program managers, product managers, and engineering managers to align development priorities, resolve conflicts, and maximize impact across initiatives.
Coordinate testing strategies and release dependencies to ensure smooth convergence of products, systems, and services at scale.
Build and maintain dashboards that track release progress, bug resolution, and development health, providing transparent insights to partners and stakeholders.
Own end-to-end program timelines, surface dependencies early, and maintain a living view of risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
Champion customer-centricity by translating abstract requirements into concrete solutions that reflect real-world usage and regulatory expectations.
Leverage data to validate hypotheses, measure program health, and recommend adjustments that optimize outcomes for users and the business.
Facilitate cross-team ceremonies and decision-making forums, ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and integrated into the final approach.
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that trade-offs are communicated clearly and justified.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing program performance, identifying gaps, and proposing actionable enhancements to people and process.

Show mastery of software development and modern project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Lean, and apply them in real-world settings.
Prove you can operate effectively in a matrixed organization, influencing without authority, negotiating trade-offs, and building consensus.
Have hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, and are highly proficient in Google Sheets for reporting, tracking, and analysis.
Show deep understanding of system design patterns, reliability, scalability, and the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs.
Bring prior experience in payments, custody, stablecoin, or blockchain ecosystems, with awareness of the unique challenges these domains present.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Exhibit ownership, bias for action, and resilience in ambiguous, fast-paced, and sometimes conflicting environments.
