In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery and evolution of the Identity Platform, which serves as the foundational trust layer for every customer interaction at Ripple. You will define the platform vision, lead cross-functional execution, and ensure the architecture supports security, compliance, and scale. You will own key decisions that balance product velocity with regulatory rigor and operational reliability. You will build and mentor a team of engineers who take end-to-end ownership of critical identity capabilities. Your work will directly enable Ripple's global growth by making identity a durable competitive advantage.

What you'll do
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to the Identity Platform, defining its culture, standards, and ways of working from day one.
Partner with Product, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver capabilities that power customer onboarding and compliance workflows across Ripple's products.
Integrate with world-class vendors like Persona for KYC/KYB, while owning the orchestration, persistence, and service layers that connect them to Ripple's core systems.
Lead the design and governance of a core identity data model, decoupled from legacy systems and built as a source-of-truth across Ripple.
Build for global scale, enabling identity workflows that meet diverse regulatory requirements and operational needs across multiple geographies.
Define and implement a technical roadmap that balances near-term delivery with long-term architectural durability.
Champion engineering excellence in design, testing, security, observability, and operational practices.
Own the end-to-end delivery of identity capabilities, driving accountability for reliability, performance, and compliance outcomes.
Establish clear ownership of platform services, APIs, and data contracts to enable autonomous team execution.
Collaborate with security and risk teams to ensure identity controls align with evolving regulatory expectations and internal policies.
Drive adoption of DevOps and agile practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining stability and auditability.
Mentor engineers and stakeholders on the rationale, trade-offs, and long-term implications of platform decisions.
Partner with vendor management to evaluate, select, and operationalize third-party identity and compliance solutions.
Act as the technical liaison for cross-company initiatives that depend on a consistent and trusted identity layer.
Champion continuous improvement by analyzing metrics, user feedback, and incidents to guide platform evolution.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager (or equivalent) leading platform or identity-focused teams delivering complex, distributed systems.
Domain expertise in identity, KYC/KYB, regtech, or compliance-heavy platforms, with hands-on delivery of critical identity capabilities.
Experience integrating major vendors into platform architectures while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.
Strength in guiding teams through complex system migrations and legacy decoupling.
Skilled at aligning diverse team members across engineering, product, compliance, and legal into a coherent technical strategy.
Proven ability to deliver platforms with uncompromising reliability, auditability, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Experience building teams and capabilities that scale across multiple geographies and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to operate comfortably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining disciplined execution.
