You will make critical decisions on the design, architecture, and delivery of systems while balancing innovation with operational excellence. You will build and coach high-performing teams, mentoring engineers to grow their technical and leadership capabilities. You will drive agile development and analytical methodologies every day to ensure predictable delivery and continuous improvement. You will strive to continuously improve the operations, processes, methodologies, technology choices, and practices of the team for long-term scalability. You will interact with your team, customers, and peers to share information and improve cross-department processes effectively. - Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability through observability, testing, and iterative enhancements.
- Facilitate technical discussions and design reviews to promote best practices and shared learning across the engineering organization.
- Contribute to the broader engineering culture by participating in initiatives that foster innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical role with a strong track record of delivering complex systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a people management or leadership role, with demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.
- Deep experience with cloud-native technologies, including containerization, orchestration, and microservices architectures.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a proven ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Experience designing and operating scalable, resilient systems that handle high-throughput and critical business workflows.
- Familiarity with financial services, treasury management, or regulated environments is highly relevant and must be understood as part of the role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to agile practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a cross-functional team environment.
- Willingness to engage with complex business problems and contribute to strategic technical decisions that impact the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
