About the role
The Marketing Coordinator position reports directly to the AVP, Corporate Marketing and serves as a key support role responsible for the end-to-end management of marketing assets and programs for RioCan's corporate functions. In this capacity, you will ensure that all materials align with brand standards and are delivered on schedule. You will act as the day-to-day point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders, coordinating approvals and maintaining version control across channels. You will support the development of integrated campaigns that reinforce RioCan's positioning as a community-focused, modern REIT. You will leverage data and feedback to iterate on content, optimize performance, and document processes for repeatability. You will maintain a sharp eye on detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across every touchpoint. You will partner with design, leasing, and communications teams to translate business objectives into compelling narratives and visuals. You will track campaign metrics, surface insights, and recommend improvements to strengthen future initiatives. You will contribute to the overall marketing calendar, helping to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks before they arise.
What you'll do
You will develop and execute marketing programs that support RioCan's corporate objectives and enhance brand consistency. You will create and adapt content for a wide range of channels, including presentations, internal communications, and external marketing assets. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives. You will maintain and update marketing templates, ensuring files are organized, version controlled, and accessible to authorized team members. You will monitor campaign performance, interpret results, and recommend optimizations based on data and stakeholder feedback. You will support the rollout of new initiatives by preparing briefing materials, timelines, and status updates for cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with design partners to translate concepts into polished marketing materials that meet brand and legal standards. You will manage project logistics for marketing projects, including scheduling, resourcing, and documentation. You will serve as the primary liaison between corporate marketing and other departments, facilitating alignment and clear communication. You will track content expiry dates, regulatory requirements, and brand guidelines to ensure all materials remain current and compliant. You will assist in the preparation of executive-facing materials, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and alignment with RioCan's strategic priorities. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing processes, identifying efficiencies and advocating for tools that enhance productivity. You will support special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will maintain a strong knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, feeding insights back into marketing discussions.
Requirements
You must be legally authorized to work in Canada and not require sponsorship for work authorization at this time. You must be eligible to receive a Social Insurance Number in order to be employed in Canada. You must have the right to live and work in Canada with no restrictions on the duration or type of employment. You must have graduated from high school. You must have at least one year of related work experience. You must be able to start within the next 45 days. You must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship at the time of hire. You must be able to start within 45 days of the date of hire.
Nice to have
Experience in a real estate, retail, or corporate environment. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools. Comfort working within a matrixed organization and managing multiple priorities.
Practical notes
This role is full time, permanent and onsite in Toronto, Ontario. You are expected to work a standard 40-hour week. There may be occasional travel between locations. You must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for work authorization sponsorship. You must be able to start within 45 days of the date of hire.
