About the role
The Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and installation projects within the field, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's quality benchmarks. This role involves providing support and direction to both installers and subcontractors, addressing intricate customer and operational challenges, and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The Field Manager collaborates with various departments to meet performance objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you'll do
- Organize and manage daily and weekly field operations, which includes scheduling installers and subcontractors, distributing workloads, and ensuring project execution.
- Evaluate and authorize job readiness, installation paperwork, and project schedules, making informed decisions to tackle issues that may impact delivery, quality, or customer satisfaction.
- Oversee, mentor, train, and assess W-2 installers and 1099 subcontractors to guarantee compliance with company standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and retain skilled installers and subcontractors to ensure a reliable labor force.
- Serve as the main point of contact for intricate operational and customer-related issues, utilizing independent judgment to resolve unique or policy-related situations.
- Conduct and supervise job site quality inspections, pinpoint necessary corrective measures, and ensure that deficiencies are addressed according to company standards.
- Lead the implementation of the customer experience program in the field and manage customer escalations until resolution.
- Establish, monitor, and drive departmental productivity, quality, and performance metrics; analyze trends and formulate improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager on forecasting, capacity planning, and weekly operational projections.
- Work in partnership with Sales, Customer Service, Inventory, and Operations to ensure material availability, seamless job flow, and timely installations.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, labor laws, and company policies; enforce job site safety protocols and address any violations.
- Manage documentation, system reporting, and operational audits within CRM, Lead Perfection, and other platforms to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Approve pay sheets for subcontractors and timecards for installers, resolve any discrepancies, and ensure compliance with payroll processes.
- Identify and address operational risks such as recurring defects, warranty concerns, and installer performance issues, escalating to leadership when necessary.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with fleet and vehicle safety standards, including vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field operations, installation, or related roles within the home improvement or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of residential remodeling installation techniques.
- Proficient in accurately reading and utilizing a tape measure.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
Nice to have
- At least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and performance management abilities.
