About the role
The Director, Corporate Accounting will provide strategic oversight and technical leadership of the corporate accounting function, driving the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting across a multi-entity, private-equity-backed structure. This role is accountable for owning the end-to-end close process for the Corporate Homebase and CRM SaaS business segments, ensuring that financial deliverables meet rigorous internal and external standards. The Director will serve as a primary technical accounting resource, developing and maintaining policy documentation for complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, leases, and cash flow classification. They will guide the external audit process, manage the preparation of technical accounting memos, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls within a fast-growth private equity environment. The position will partner closely with FP&A, Financial Shared Services, and IT to support ERP initiatives and reporting alignment. This leader will prepare supplemental reports and analyses for the CFO and executive team, translating technical accounting outcomes into actionable business insights. The role requires a self-driven professional who thrives in dynamic, evolving organizations and balances deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do
- Drive the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation activities across a multi-entity corporate structure.
- Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Renuity's multi-entity operations to ensure reliable consolidated financial statements.
- Own the financial close and reporting for the Corporate Homebase and CRM SaaS business lines in collaboration with FP&A leadership.
- Own the preparation of financial reporting packages and analyses related to the Company's quarterly loan compliance requirements.
- Prepare technical accounting summaries and executive-level reports to support the CFO and senior leadership decision-making.
- Support enhancements to ERP systems, including Acumatica, affecting the general ledger, chart of accounts, and close automation in partnership with IT and Shared Services.
- Serve as the lead technical accounting resource responsible for shaping and maintaining U.S. GAAP policy across key accounting domains.
- Research and document technical accounting positions for complex or non-routine transactions in written memo format.
- Manage the annual external audit engagement, including oversight of the PBC list, technical memo preparation, and resolution of audit-related issues.
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting within a growing, private equity-backed environment.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Corporate Accounting team through effective people management and workload allocation.
- Mentor Manager and Staff team members, providing guidance on technical accounting, performance expectations, and professional growth.
- Partner with FP&A on reporting alignment, variance analysis between budget and actual results, and the production of management reporting.
- Collaborate with Financial Shared Services to standardize processes and improve accounting workflows across divisions.
- Respond to technical accounting inquiries from senior management and contribute to special projects as directed by the Corporate Controller.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance as a mandatory educational credential.
- Possess a CPA certification as a required professional license.
- Bring a minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, blending public accounting background with industry practice.
- Demonstrate deep technical proficiency in U.S. GAAP across multiple domains including revenue recognition, leases, fixed assets, internal-use software, credit losses, and cash flow classification.
- Show documented experience in managing external auditor relationships and leading complex audit engagements.
- Have proven experience in people management, including the ability to develop, lead, and coach a team of accounting professionals.
- Exhibit advanced Excel capabilities when working with large, multi-entity data sets and complex financial models.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, presenting technical accounting information to non-accounting stakeholders with clarity.
