Rent the Runway is seeking a dedicated Site Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance at our Dream Fulfillment Center located in Secaucus, NJ. This role involves collaborating closely with the operations team to enforce safety policies, mitigate ergonomic risks, and adhere to environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe working environment while promoting best practices in health and safety.

What you'll do

• Oversee all aspects of site security, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, waste management protocols, and wastewater discharge standards.
• Conduct thorough investigations into incidents to identify root causes and implement effective corrective measures.
• Execute job safety analyses and risk assessments for various equipment and operational processes to enhance safety protocols.
• Provide first aid assistance and coordinate medical care when required, ensuring the well-being of all employees.
• Monitor and report on operational safety metrics to upper management, highlighting areas for improvement and compliance.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on safety procedures and security measures to promote a culture of safety.
• Manage site security operations to safeguard company assets and ensure the safety of personnel on-site.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations and long-term planning.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve safety standards at the facility.
• Engage with external regulatory bodies and auditors during inspections and compliance reviews.
• Foster a proactive safety culture by encouraging employee participation in safety programs and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance audits to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related discipline is required.
• At least three years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, ideally within warehousing or manufacturing sectors such as food, chemicals, or health and beauty.
• OSHA 30 certification or a higher level of certification is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in using Excel for pivot tables and data management.
• Capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs as part of safety assessments and training.
• Willingness to maintain an onsite presence and participate in on-call rotations for weekend and after-hours support.

Nice to have

• OSHA 501 certification or a higher qualification is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous for training and communication purposes.
• Experience with air and wastewater permitting processes would be beneficial.
• Certifications in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools, such as Google Looker, would enhance data analysis capabilities.
