About the role
The Global Payroll Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the daily administrative tasks associated with both domestic and international payroll operations. This position involves ensuring accurate data entry, maintaining timekeeping records, conducting initial audits, and addressing routine payroll inquiries from employees. The Administrator will oversee the timely execution of US payroll cycles and will also coordinate payroll processes for the company's operations in France, the UK, and Canada.

What you'll do
- Accurately execute and manage monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll data entry to ensure timely processing.
- Oversee the monitoring of hourly timekeeping systems, proactively following up with managers to resolve any discrepancies or delays in approvals.
- Calculate and process off-cycle checks and manual payments as authorized by management.
- Input and manage approved bonus payments, ensuring compliance with tax withholding regulations.
- Conduct audits on data entries related to employee status changes, new hires, and terminations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the administrative processing of annual compensation adjustments for employees.
- Support the fully managed payroll operations in France and the UK by participating in employee onboarding, reviewing Store Manager entries, processing bonuses, and managing separations.
- Act as the administrative liaison for the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in Canada, compiling and delivering standardized bonus reports while addressing routine inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to deliver monthly international payroll reports and manage invoice payments through the Deel platform.
- Create and distribute monthly time and attendance reports across various company locations, including Corporate, Retail, Factory, and Distribution Centers.
- Generate bi-annual reports on time-off and accrued leave usage to support payroll compliance.
- Monitor and resolve incoming tickets related to payroll inquiries, tax changes, and timekeeping issues through the company's ticketing system.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations concerning hours worked, overtime calculations, and meal break policies for non-exempt employees.
- Maintain organized and secure digital records of payroll data to ensure compliance with retention policies.
- Assist with the management of payroll-related mail, including filing, tax notice support, and responding to state information requests.
- Support the broader People team with seasonal or ad-hoc administrative projects as required.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field, ideally with exposure to both hourly/non-exempt workforces and international payroll practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll systems and experience in digital global payroll environments is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize basic formulas, VLOOKUPs, and manage large datasets securely.
- Basic understanding of US wage and hour laws, including overtime regulations and state-specific pay frequencies. Knowledge of the differences between fully managed international payroll entities and PEO structures is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll information.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- A customer-service-oriented approach to addressing employee inquiries and resolving issues.

Practical notes
- The anticipated hourly wage for this position ranges from $24 to $31, based on various factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.
- This role may also qualify for an annual discretionary bonus, contingent upon company performance, departmental objectives, and individual contributions.
