Senior Software Engineer

About the role

You will design and develop robust, high-performance, highly secure file transfer products and solutions using Modern C++ and Java to serve over 5000 global enterprise customers. You will build and maintain RESTful integrations that leverage JSON and XML for seamless data exchange across diverse platforms. You will contribute to web-based user interfaces using JavaScript and JQuery to deliver responsive and intuitive experiences. You will implement and optimize support for critical file transfer protocols including SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, and FTP/S to ensure reliable connectivity. You will design and execute automated unit and integration tests within a shift-left testing environment to uphold quality standards. You will collaborate with team leads and architects to shape system design and guide feature planning for future releases. You will participate in code reviews to advocate for best practices and drive improvements in code quality across the engineering team. You will partner with Quality Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable enterprise software solutions. You will work with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure to deploy and scale infrastructure and services in production environments. You will contribute to team ceremonies and maintain technical documentation within an Agile Scrum environment to ensure alignment and transparency.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Bring 5-7 years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Modern C++ and OOP.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of REST APIs, integration patterns, and data formats such as JSON.
• Show proficiency with JavaScript, JQuery, and modern front-end development concepts and practices.
• Exhibit strong understanding of SQL and relational database systems and their optimization.
• Possess strong understanding of file transfer and networking protocols including SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, and FTP/S.
• Have experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN and collaboration tools like JIRA and TFS.
• Display familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodologies and practices.
• Maintain good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services provided by AWS and Azure.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms with clarity and precision.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to quality standards.
• Apply a security-first mindset especially when dealing with networking and sensitive data exchange scenarios.
